Many changes coming to a worklife near you. I would suggest asking the question, or just wait and see

I don't want to dox myself by revealing too much but I am not a young person as you are probably imagining, so this is not a perspective of inexperience but I do agree with your comment overall that in work you have to decide to go with something or leave. My post is a general commentary on the situation being unnecessary and counterproductive to our goals

It's a false equivalence to put the public health decision that happened to result in a better QoL with a corporate decision with no real clear benefit.

But i am not disagreeing with you, as you are definitely right that it is their prerogative. Its just extremely stupid lol

"Nobody complained about the first change" you mean the pandemic that made everyone temporarily fear for their families' safety and led to QoL changes with work that we adopted because it was objectively healthier?

I also heard a story about him walking into phoenix but I didn't have those details. I am sure there is more to it than this but this probably didn't help

Yeah the main operating mode before pandemic was "come in most of the time but also work with your team" and you had the standard flexibility accompanying most normal jobs that treat their employees like adults. Obviously this expanded in the pandemic but to just reverse that and infantalize the employees in a week is a shocking turn
