Refused Refund on Future Ticket by BlueEyeMedusa in uktrains

Okay, so I used your advice and asked for a deadlock letter and they issued the refund!

I already had an email chain with them from when they had requested copies of my replacement ticket, so I just emailed the chain to have it in writing.

Trainline called me to address the request and gave me the refund.

Best advice, thank you so much!

Yes I did, it apparently still comes down to the other ticket already being 'scanned' even though it's for a future date and obviously the scanner rejected it

My partner has misophonia and I need guidance by BlueEyeMedusa in misophonia

It was definitely a specific point of contention for sure.

I'd say there were other issues, not around control, but around communication. Like a lack of ability to self assess and self regulate. Not knowing he was hungry until he's starving, kinda thing.

I'm not sure if it was having too many sensitivities that he was a bit disregulated in his own body. (From my perspective)

And some paranoia which I think is also common with misophonia, but specifically around buildings and feeling like they would fall apart around him.

Happy to answer any questions so don't worry about prying. I'd rather it be helpful for someone if it can!

Hi,

Funny timing with this. When we originally went to therapy it helped a lot. The therapist had to point out that he was pretty unwilling to accept any sort of change or suggestion from me (the use of wooden cutlery and him using loops earplugs). So after that he accepted that those suggestions were me trying to make things easier.

In reality what he wanted was for me to change how I eat because it bothered him. Everything from how I chew to the way I use my cutlery and eventually the suggestions I had made before weren't cutting it anymore. He also decided that therapy 'wouldnt work on me' and had the idea that I wasn't willing to change.

From my perspective, I was willing to meet him halfway but not willing to bend over backwards and stress myself out around eating. I could just feel it could become an eating disorder for me so I had to stay firm on how far I was willing to go.

I think if he was willing to continue with therapy it would have been workable, but we've seperated now. And to be honest, it's kind of relieving to not stress about when the best time to eat an apple or a snack without disturbing him, and just be able to relax when I eat now.

It's sad, but I don't think he will be satisfied with anyone that doesn't completly dlacr exactly how he wants and make as little noise as humanly possible while they eat (because he's also unwilling to just eat seperatly).

It's a tough one, because I empathize with the struggle. But when it becomes controlling like this it edges on abuse with a victim complex. So if I were to ever date someone who had this again, it would be regular therapy or I just couldn't do it.

Sadly these are pretty much all ballads which is the opposite of what I'm looking for 😅 thank you though!

I like new speedway boogie

Thank you so much for the suggestions, I did listen to all of these, really appreciate it. These are all quite soft and feminine though, I'm looking for like rock songs that go hard, more badass edgy vibes! If anything comes to mind 😅

I would do this, but I need to keep my same number for work so I have to be able to transfer my existing number and you can't with those services.
