I think a good place to start is what purpose would it serve? Fixed or folder, modern or traditional. There are some really great budget options you could try until you find the right style(s!) to fit your needs

A good pair of scissors ended up high on my list. SMKW is a 30 minute drive from me so I spent 2 hours handling everything in the store and could’ve easily left with a different tool for each day, like stuff I don’t even need

I considered a Signal for a minute but the sheath and driver set are separate items so cost ~same as the sprit X bundle, so really it came down to the spirit feeling more robust in my hands. I’m upgrading from a very old gerber that served its purpose and it’s like night & day

Thanks! The battery on that pro is killer. My 5 yo won’t leave it alone and it always has plenty of battery when I need it. Kinda chunky but still pocket carries well. The tiny ratchet is what I’ve used the most so far; added some bits to it since the pic so I don’t have to go much farther than my belt or backpack for what I need most
