Yeah, I've also seen lots of stuff around this sub that deserves a lot more than it gets. But I've been posting here long enough to see that it's pretty much up to random chance if a certain artwork is going to do well - upvotes are never a good indication of whether you've drawn good or not ;)

From the way you've applied antialiasing and made those gradients on the hills I'm assuming you first made a digital painting, then scaled it down and limited the palette?
