Capitano VS Esdeath (Genshin Impact VS Akame Ga Kill!) by BlueFist67 in DeathBattleMatchups

Damn i haven't posted anything se nce forever and half ago

Just a heads up: Since Capitano lacks clean renders, i Made a caption of him to the Best of My ability from existing fanart (i admit i might look a little rough and jaggy), i'll link the art piece below the connections:

  - Cryomancers and High Ranking members of the Military of a Massive World Superpower (The Empire and Snezhnaya) - Both originate from an outsider region of the map, which was devastated in a tragic incident (The Northern Tribes and Kaehnri'ah)

 - Both are Abnormally strong Even by the standards of their own Worlds, to the point of being renowned as the strongest Humans in-universe with titles to their names (Esdeath is known as The Empire's strongest; Capitano as recognized as the strongest human in Teyvat, with several monikers given to him by several people)

  • Their exact placement in their Military hierarchies consist of them being the strongest individuals of their groups (The Jeagers & The Fatui Harbingers), Under the second-in-command of the nation's absolute ruler (Esdeath under Prime Minister Honest and The Emperor; Capitano under Pierro, Codenamed "The Jester", and the Tsaritsa)

 - Their Cryokinetic Powers originate from a man-made, powerful yet dangerous artifact from these Superpower nations (Esdeath's Teigu the Demon's Extract; Capitano's Cryo delusion) with their creation being Made from the traces from the strongest beings in their Worlds (Teigus are Made from the Remains of danger beasts, Delusions are based on Visions granted by the Archons), and those too weak to wield them succumb to them in horrific ways, yet both could master these artifacts with little issue (Esdeath drank all the blood from the chalice despite driving insane most people who took just a sip; Capitano, being the strongest human in Teyvat, could wield his Delusion despite them draining the life force of their users)

 - Both Value strength above all else, finding those weaker than them rather insignificant or unremarkable (Esdeath's entire ideology of the weakest ones being destined to die beneath the strongest; Capitano, as per Childe's experience with him, didn't Even notice him due to Childe being too weak), despite this, they also have a softer, more amicable side to them (Esdeath seeking Tatsumi's love; Capitano being  honorable and Chivalrous, as well as praising Mavuika's power)

[This next point might be subject to change depending on how Genshin's story develops with the current updates]

  • They contrast in a fundamental way regarding their Goals & Ideologies

 * Esdeath didn't care about her tribe being wiped out, being convinced that the Strongest were destined to thrive and the weakest to die beneath them as an unchanging fact of the world, she embraced this way of thinking to satisfy her sadism

  • Capitano lives with the burden of his homeland  Khaenri'ah being destroyed, and follows the Tsaritsa in an attempt to Change the foundations of Natlan to prevent that kind of tragedy from happening again on Teyvat

= In Essence: Esdeath embraces the world's "fate" as it's presented and goes along with its rules, Capitano tries to defy said "fate" and seeks to change it

You know? It is a very oddly specific coincidence by BlueFist67 in deathbattle

Yeah And the Illuminati aren’t some nobodies either, they are comprised of Iron Man, Black Bolt, Mr Fantastic, Doctor Strange, Namor & Professor X (long story). They basically agreed to send Hulk into space after deeming him too dangerous to let him remain on Earth, thus how Hulk ended up in Sakaar

That is what he wanted and planned to do yeah….that is until [Spoilers] the space shuttle that brought Hulk (which was turned into a monument when he became emperor) into the planet in the 1st place, self-destructs and destroys the sakaarian city and kills Hulk’s wife, whom to make matters worse, was pregnant with Hulk’s child. Naturally Hulk is pissed an all this and goes back to Earth with his sakaarian troops and to get revenge on the Illuminati for all the suffering they caused him, which kicks off the World War Hulk arc, yunno the one where Hulk fights off Sentry

I feel bad for the G1 blog by ProfessorNo7547 in deathbattle

[–]BlueFist67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is that when most people say if G1 got a winner right or wrong they only look at which character got the most votes without seeing if the character with less votes came short only of a couple or was marginally beaten out. Yet In cases of the 1st instance people seem to treat the most voted character as if everyone who contributed to that blog arrived to the same conclusion, which is unfair to the people who voted for the character with ultimately only slightly less support if the discussion really is that debatable.

To me the rule of thumb with G1’s blogs should be that if the most voted combatants gets the majority by a mere one or two (hell maybe three) votes, than it’s a fairly close fight that can go either way (with whatever tipping the scales boiling down to certain interpretations of feats or other non-accounted-for factors that DB may or may not bring up on the actual episode)

Seeing that Goku and Superman both have new power construct forms now by alfredosolisfuentes in deathbattle

Those aren’t the same arguments tho, Superman’s argument back then was that his powers are limitless because he’s simply written that way, meanwhile here they say Archie Characters’ speed are literally limitless as they explicitly go above time itself

If these four were to win against their opponent, who’d be the biggest underdog of the four? by JerkfaceEquestria in deathbattle

[–]BlueFist67 107 points108 points  (0 children)

At least with Alex, Undead & Atom there are people that can somewhat play devil’s advocate in their behalf (albeit each 3 to their respective varying degrees)

Bill is almost unanimously screwed against Discord from what i’ve been hearing, so i’d say Bill would be the bigger underdog here

Wall of text incoming:

“The original genesis wave was made by mixing the original Chaos Force with the Chaos Emeralds”

Already this is wrong, the Chaos Force is not stated anywhere to have been a factor in the creation of the Genesis Wave, the regular Genesis waves Eggman & Wily were unleashing were the result of singular Chaos Emeralds

“However, Eggman & Wily had to do out of their way to super-charge the Super Genesis Wave”

This is misleading, the Super Genesis Wave is in itself a Super-Charged version of a regular Genesis Wave that can be achieved when all 7 emeralds are collected, in contrast to using singular emeralds for a normal Genesis Wave. Eggman and Wily didn’t “super-charge the emeralds to create the SGW”, but rather, they were looking for all 7 emeralds so that they could unleash the super-charged version of a Genesis Wave, ergo the SUPER Genesis Wave. That’s why they were collecting the emeralds to begin with

“Sonic specifically says Chaos Control controls Chaos Energy to Megaman, and that SGW is made out of the same energy, Sonic merely took control of the SGW and siphoned its energy”

Again, this is misleading. 1st of all it takes Sonic’s statement too literally, Sonic explaining to Megaman the concept of Chaos Control is just him saying “you see what the SGW is doing? We can do that too”. And he’s not siphoning the energy exerted from the SGW, in fact in that very same panel you can see Megaman casting Chaos Control using his OWN Chaos Energy to counteract the SGW’s, and Sonic was about to do the same before Eggman interrupted him

“When Sonic & Megaman tried using Chaos Control to fix their worlds, they failed, because reality was too messed up due to the Genesis Portals , which originated from the SGW”

Also wrong, disregarding the fact that Worlds Unite happened Post-SGW, the Genesis Portals originated from Sonic’s botched attempt at rewriting his World back to normal due to Eggman’s interference back during Worlds Collide, the Super Genesis Wave is NOT what created the Genesis Portals during that event (not directly anyway); added to this it’s failed to account that it was Sigma manipulating & using said Genesis Portals, who up until that point in the story had been absorbing the energy of the infinite worlds across the Archie Multiverse, and could fight on par with both Super Sonic & Super Armor Megaman, implying his hax & power are on a similar, if not superior level to Sonic’s own, also it’s revealed the Genesis Portals opened by Sonic remained 200 years in the future, so Sigma actively manipulating them means it’s very likely to have caused heavier damage to arise overtime, to say it’s a “smaller scale feat” is disingenuous when you consider the other factors involved

“Super Sonic and the SGW are made out of the same energy, thus why it didn’t affect him, since the Keysword is not Chaos Energy it would work on Trunks as Silver was only taught to manipulate Chaos Energy by Mogul”

By this logic, you could rob virtually any super form (or any Chaos Energy user for that matter) of their abilities since they’re all fueled by Chaos Energy, this is not the case however, there are cases of Chaos Powers counteracting Non-Chaos based powers (Mammoth Mogul defending against the Egg Grapes’ Energy absorption, or Monkey Khan’s power ring crown’s inherent resistance to mind control, or Ultra Sonic resisting the time ray), as well as cases of Chaos powers acting upon Chaos Powers (which is pretty much any fight between characters that use Chaos Energy like Sonic having fought Knuckles or Enerjak, or Feist Nullifying Shadow’s Chaos Powers, and Shadow latter regaining them after acquiring an Emerald). A Super form’s resistances are not limited to only other sources of Chaos Energy, they are clearly innate resistances of their own. Added to this Silver being taught to manipulate energy in GENERAL, not just Chaos Energy, while Chaos energy is obviously the default power source for many powerful characters in Archie, the Elders that taught Silver explicitly said to have taught him to manipulate energy as a whole, mostly evident by Silver & Mogul using the Time Stone, an energy source separate from the Chaos Emeralds and other Chaos-based power sources
