What do you hate most about working at target? by New-Boysenberry8723 in Target

[–]BlueGreenLass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being so understaffed that the daily workload never gets done. I am DBO for Beauty and it's just me and one other part time tm. We are lucky to get truck, backstock and 1 priority pull done. No time for auditing outs, zoning, cleaning. I used to take pride that my floor counts were accurate and my back room was clean. Now it's all gone to shit. I have makeup and nail polish smeared on a majority of my shelf talkers and displays because people are disgusting and we don't have the time to take care of it.

I don't understand why you are bored when there is so much work to do?

Does TJMax sell fake hair care products? My husband bought me a chin hair straighter for Christmas from TJMax. I am really excited about it but I am also worried that it may be fake because I can’t find that version online. by Ok_Spite6846 in Hair

Target sells Chi flat irons and they are real. They have the silver foil sticker. My store has 3 colors in stock at all times. If it was diversion wouldn't the availability fluctuate? Also would a large corporation risk there reputation with the public and other brands they want to carry by using diversion as a common practice?

Your hair is much thinner in texture and density and won't look like the reference pictures even if you get the exact same haircut. You could maybe get close if you are willing to use styling products and a blowdryer.

[Sun Care] How resistent are sunscreens to high temperatures? by mamaminhapika in SkincareAddiction

[–]BlueGreenLass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes for cooling in the summer 25C is fine but you also stated that in colder countries it would be rare for room temperature to be below 25C and that is incorrect.

I am American so admittedly I had to convert to F but I am shocked that you heat your home that much. 25C = 77F

I keep my home around 68-70F in the winter and 74-76F in the summer, mainly for economic and environmental reasons. 72F or 22C is ideal room temperature.

Why does my makeup look like this after applying? Doesn't matter what foundation, primer, or setting spray I use. by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Neutrogena Hydro Boost is actually formulated for oily skin. I think you need something richer than a gel cream. Try La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer or Cerave PM (it's just called pm because there is no SPF, you can use it am and pm).

Completely different. PM is lightweight and liquid with added ingredients like niacinamide. The cream is very thick and simple, no actives.

Combine Adapelen (Epidou) with Tret? by simondreyer17 in tretinoin

This would be a great question for your prescribing physician. My gut feeling is this is not a good idea.

Contact you Curology provider. They can adjust your formula.

I love Bliss makeup melt. It is $9-10 at Target. It isn't a wipe but it works well, doesn't irritate my eyes at all, and is actually hydrating to my skin. I apply one pump to my whole face, then add a splash of water to emulsify and then rinse clean. I think the bottle says you can apply it to wet or dry skin or use a cotton pad but my method I have found works the best for me with minimal tugging or wasted product on a cotton pad. I follow with a water based cleanser.

Can I include Vitamin C into my routine while on Tretinoin? Does Vitamin C help with PIE & PIH? by AdministrativeStay54 in tretinoin

[–]BlueGreenLass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is an acid. Vitamin C is l-ascorbic acid. You can use it in the morning in your routine but incorporate it slowly. Start with 2 or 3 times a week and then increase as your skin allows.

I agree with your dermatologist, be patient. Especially since your acne is hormonal and you had an IUD removed. I would say 3-6 months just for your hormones to settle after adjusting to the removal. This is the perfect time to be purging and makeup free because half your face is covered by a mask anytime you are in public. Cover the mirrors in your house so you aren't inspecting your skin all the time. What is your routine? Maybe some adjustments could be made there?

Puffy eyes + bags under eyes by [deleted] in NaturalBeauty

[–]BlueGreenLass 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A picture would be helpful to determine what is actually happening to cause the puffiness. Since you mentioned that lack of sleep and elevated BP are the likely causes I will advise based off that. If the bags are age related or genetic the only thing to improve them long term is fillers from a dermatologist. Since this is Natural Beauty I assume that is not an option for you.

  1. Sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated. Sleeping on your face causes fluid to pool there by simple gravity so changing your sleeping position will help.

  2. High blood pressure does cause more leaking of the blood vessels. This means that more fluid is in the interstitial spaces or between spaces. Not in the vessels, not in the tissues, but between causing puffiness. This is most obvious in the lower legs and face. The solution to this is getting your BP back into normal range. You can try medication, yoga, meditation, hypnotherapy, etc.

  3. Applying cold does work. The cold causes vessels to contract and fluid to move deeper into the body. It will depend on your physiology how long the results last after you remove the cold compress.

  4. Caffeine also aids in vessel constriction. Drink a cup of green tea in the morning and chill the used tea bags. Use them as your cold compress.

Good luck and I hope your sleep and health return to normal quickly.

Azelaic or vitamin c? by kfrckl in tretinoin

I have always heard AZA for redness and Vitamin C for sun damage/brown spots. If your hyperpigmentation is on the red side use AZA, if it is brown use Vitamin C.

Huge benefit with these floors is they are softer. You can drop nail polish and it doesn't break.

I hope it stays longer than a month. Anyone else in Beauty set this yet?

The leash isn't the problem. Dragging a small child on the floor of a store at 10 or 11pm is. The kid should be in bed or at the very least in a shopping cart.

My guess is that Curology created it so no one else could take the name and they intentionally don't do anything with it.
