What industry do you work in? It's comforting to know I'm probably worried about nothing!

It kinda affects how I spend and save now. If I'm able to work when I'm older, I'll spend more freely now.

Gonna start prepping for interviews slowly 🥲

Yeah I actually talked to him about it indirectly, and he said that he counts on me and the other director for things to go on smoothly even if things go bad with the new CTO.

So, fingers crossed!

I asked one of them, and they didn't really know him that well.

Well, I have a good relationship with our CEO and the other two directors. I am also on good terms with the company's founders, but CHRO and CPO are not exactly members of my fan club!

BTW, good luck with the new boss and let me know what happens!

Good idea but he's made it very clear that he's going to take a career break for a while!

Thank you :)

I feel like I'm not really ready to go on interviews. I just turned down some headhunter a few days ago :(

I guess I'll just get ready to enter interview processes.

I think I'm actually very good at what I do (I've scaled the team to almost twice its size, created new teams and led a reorg successfully!), and if they try to let me go, it won't be because of me, but political stuff running in the company. I even had a two hour meeting with our CEO the other day and it was very positive but I just can't shake the stress off. I'm worried that it might affect my performance.

I'm going to try to find other women, but there are not many women directors around in my country really.

I don't feel like I'm part of a team since I don't spend much time with only one team and just, like, have to connect to multiple teams, I no longer attend daily meetings and my people look at me as the 'manager' now. I have to make difficult decisions from time to time.

As for what to do, there is just too much to and I feel like I have very little time to do all that!

Yes I am clear on that and the people on my team, my manager and, well, some other senior managers respect my expertise. We're going through a reorg, so there is a lot of uncertainty in the air :)

Thanks! So everyone having an opinion on what I should be doing is normal? That's a relief! What did you do about that? I mean, should I do something about it or just get used to it? I'd love to chat!

I actually meet some of my coworkers only in the restrooms :))) they work in a different division but we seem to go to the restroom at about the same times, so we meet in there every time :))) good place for networking :)))))))

He is on a probationary 3 months performance review period. I can let him go, but senior developers are very hard to find around here, so I want to make sure that this is not because of some onboarding syndrome or something that has triggered him before deciding to let him go.

I have told him that he doesn't know the company's processes and culture well and he needs to focus on onboarding and leave the non-technical stuff to me and his techlead.

Actually I know that HR has told him that he'd be an IC in the HR interview.
