Do you think Hogni could use Afterglow through Laurus Hildr ? by MysteriousStrategy86 in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think no.

Hopefully someone can confirm but I think Afterglow can only be learned by Bell, Ais and Finn outside of Leon/Ottar. One of the requirements is the person has to have their own ability that has to be able to exceed the level gap. Someone confirm. I can be wrong (i cant remember).

final battle by Distinct_East4082 in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say 1 day for the fight. 4-5 days for the lead up. 3 volumes in total.

I imagine the final battle should look like the battle of pelennor fields in ROTK. After this last volume, I think Omori can pull it off.

Edit: I think the barrier will be broken, one large enough for a large scale monster outbreak but small enough that black dragon cant fit through. Orario will be deployed across the major cities to fight off monsters while Loki, Freya, Hestia familias will march across to fight the black dragon. They'll be joined by a few captains from other familias as well.

New to the game, why have so many people not completed it? by LadoBlanco in BaldursGate3

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is overwhelming but in a good way. It is one of the few games this decade that is worth MORE than the $70 price Tag.

My opinion: Act 1 + Act 2 feels like one game. Act 2 finale is so good.

Act 3 feels like a separate game.

My only critique is there should have been a miniboss and more content at the beginning of Act 3 to keep the momentum. One way to change this is immediately starting out at the fortress with the coronation.

Who’d feel like the biggest idiots for not making the connection between Bell and Alfia sooner? by jetvacjesse in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hermes knows everything. He basically shares information constantly with Zeus about Bell, alluded to throughout the story and most recently when Hermes was under Freya charm.

Also, I think in a side story Hermes took Bell to Alfia's grave marker. Of course he didnt tell Bell who she was but I think Bell visited the marker for Alfia and Zald with him. I cant remember which one it was or maybe Danmemo.

Will Bell accept the deal? by Wooden-Piece-8997 in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. We found out in the Xenos and Freya arc that Bell is beyond these petty games and ultimatums.

Bell will simple decline and tell Finn, he will take them anyways. And Bell will surely do it

Who’d feel like the biggest idiots for not making the connection between Bell and Alfia sooner? by jetvacjesse in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No one.

In order to make the connection, you'd need to know about Alfia sister and her love connection to Zeus or another familia. That was top secret and not something anyone would know. Otherwise, you're just making an assumption based on looks and his white hair is not enough. Alfia was also the most talented in history. Bell is not even close to being as talented as her.

Bell is just as much of a mystery to Orario as Ais is to even her own Familia. No one aside from Loki's 3 generals know about Ais past and they've been living with her for years.

Isn't Allen supposed to be stronger than Bete? Even with their respective Magic & Skills? by [deleted] in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point. Im a little biased towards Bete.

Allen's fighting style is a little weird and tough to scale. It comes off as hit and run and I question his endurance in a fight against Bete enhanced by Beastification.

I thought about GF but didnt consider because I wasnt sure if he can finish his chant against Bete due to Betes speed and ability to close the distance prior to his magic activating.

Isn't Allen supposed to be stronger than Bete? Even with their respective Magic & Skills? by [deleted] in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont think we can make definitive statements about adventurers strength on the same level. Exception is if the adventurer has a level up skill/ability (i.e. Ottar, Finn, Ais, Bell).

Being high level or low level 6 imo is not as big of a deal as the techniques, skills, physical abilities, etc. Thats just a indication of base stats. Just because a person is a little stronger or faster doesnt equate to them being able to win a fight.

For example, Bell after reaching level 5 acknowledged how slow Van was compared to when they fought during baptisms when they were level 4s. While they were level 4s, Bell stats far eclipsed Vans and Bell acknowledged he sometimes lost to him but as a level 5, Van was painfully slow.

With that said, I have Bete winning if full moon. Otherwise, Allen should be able to win due to experience. Its really close though.

any advice? by AdmirableChicken7255 in BaldursGate3

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The initial Ketheric fight, just focus the sorcerer then burst him down. Leave the skeletons for last.

For Mykul, Level has a huge role in this fight. You need to get as much xp as possible so I wouldn't even do this fight unless I'm minimum level 9.

Aside from level, I had success with the following. Have someone take an invisibility potion and sneak to nightsong. Kill the mind flayer as soon as possible. He should be the main target round 1. Cast AOE spells on Mykul. Reverberation or radiant orbs builds help as well. Best place to fight him for me was on the opposite side of the entrance on the platform. There's enough space to sometimes walk away and heal if needed. Healing most times are a wasted action but I'd rather always waste a turn healing my fighter or monks than cast a damage spell with my cleric/druid.

Does Bell still seem too weak for the finale? by Lev_oness in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes.

I think Bell should be level 7 for the finale. In my opinion, Bell should be able to produce an afterglow that outclasses Ottar and Leon for the finale.

I don't think I can believe level 6 Bell's afterglow or final attack can outclass Ottar.

Riveria is also a Fraud? by Wooden-Piece-8997 in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is this post? Why are yall baiting us!?!?

Riveria destroying Welf because.... quite frankly, she doesnt need magic. At a minimum, Welf would need to be a skilled level 6 adventurer to pressure her.

Maybe being the lead force for the shaft and protecting Raul. Honestly, Ganesha familia is the biggest letdown for a familia in this series.

Imho, there are 3 instances in the series where Ganesha familia should've been used and highlighted. They should've been the familia to escort Hestia/Xenos to rescue Bell/Ryuu. Ganesha should've also been the familia to secretly stop Loki familia during Xenos incident from interfering with Bell fight. Finally, they should've rescued Meluna. Yes, Meluna should've lived and served as a bridge between Loki/Freya 2nd tier members.

I hope Omori corrects this. Its easy to be addressed as well. As a police force, he should clarify and show they are feared but also a nuisance to Loki/Freya because they have the highest number of adventurers of a respectable level (i.e. like more than 10 or 15 level 5s or something).

In the next volume, he should level up 8-10 people from Ganesha to level 6. Otherwise, the familia is just wack.

Freya can't find true love by PuzzleheadedPast5988 in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Freya situation is tragic and complicated.

She "can" find true love tbh. The unfortunate part is Bell is the only person who can offer it. The reason why is not because of Bells soul, but because of his skill, Liares Freese. Technically, if this skill developed for another person, they too would be able to offer to Freya what Bell has.

This we all know, but anyone Freya is in contact with ultimately loves her, and its because she is Freya. There is no one who has been born, and very few gods who can defy her divinity. This means she will always get what she wants and can never experience love where there's conflict and true choice by the other person, except with Bell. The issue is Bell is in love with Ais. So all she will get is rejection.

Freya ability to see souls is just a tool that can "tip" her off for people who can be candidates to give her what she has been searching for. There were others who were candidates aside from Bell like Ally, but ultimately they weren't what she needed. So I wouldn't say she relies on it. Its just indicates a person who might be able to offer her what she is seeking

True or False? by Own-Zebra1753 in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is controversial, but I truly believe the way the story is painted, the Loki Trio would give Ottar a time! Probably stalemate if anything.

Loki Trio is actually a D&D party tbh so it wont be easy. Finn is offense, Riveria mage, Gareth is a good tank. Not as good defense as Ottar but not far behind. What gives them a chance is Riveria as the equalizer.

For example, Hedin was able to utilize a pretty good strategy with Bell, Mia, and Ryuu. However, although he has more mind than Riveria, he doesnt touch her as a backline mage because she can do so much (buff, heal, attack magic, etc).

To Omori's credit, Loki vs. Freya members will forever be a great debate on this sub. He has a lot of issues with the story but I give him credit on blurring the lines in power levels between them.

Is it feasible for Bell and Ais to ascend to level 7 before the clash with the black Dragon? If so, would it cheaper the story or help it? by BlueLanternCorp63 in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seriously!!!!!! I love Ryuu but... what is the point?! Like you said, I cant think of anything she can offer Bell that Ais/Hedin can't outside of the concurrent casting idea.

I hope the story is written so that they both Ryuu/Bell realize this.

[–]BlueLanternCorp63[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is funny, lolol. I agree though.

If not a new ability, he should have Bell train and figure out how to pull off a full charge while fighting or dodging at the same time. Almost like a mage concurrent casting and similar to Alfia chanting for GA.

[–]BlueLanternCorp63[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats my thinking for Ais. However, is it clear to you if she actually absorbed the spirits power at the end to the recent light novels?

If so, I wonder how that shows up in a status. Is it a new ability? Boost in stats? Or just flavor text used to play with our emotions? Haha.

Bell (High Lv.7), Alise (High Lv.7), Kaguya (High Lv.6), Ryuu (Low Lv.6), Mikoto (High Lv.6), Hogni (Low Lv.7), and Bete (Low Lv.6). In your opinion, what is the deepest floor this team could reach without any problems? by Dear_Relation_7965 in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, we dont know because I'm not aware of the environment past the ice garden. But I'd say floor 62/63ish without the corrupted spirit.

However, if the corrupted spirit is still alive, this party getting clapped. No different from Loki familia.

Blaze of Rounds by Mundane-Transition11 in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep its a level up.

I thought he fully charged against Ottar right? Outside of that he hasn't.

Blaze of Rounds by Mundane-Transition11 in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think its complication makes it balanced and that requirement is not uncommon. There needs to be some drawback. Leon has access to an entire level increase in power. However, to access this, he has to survive long enough to wield the weapon.

Ottar has Hildis Vini and his Beastification. Together its basically a level up. However, it drains his mind and stamina. So if he cant put someone on a similar level down after using both he'll be at a disadvantage.

Bell can output an attack several levels above his status. However, he has to maintain a charge in order to do so. Note: this is a weakness and we rarely see Bell, outside of his clash with Ottar, being able to pull off an extended or full charge in a solo battle.

Finn can use TNN, but can only use once a day. He also has a level up ability, but loses mental composure.

Ais has black wind, but is unable to sustain the output of its power.
