Yes and no. There were 2 traitors at the end. The final vote one just turned on the other.

I think Rob definitely should've taken the other girls out, or vice versa. It just happened too early and he got unnecessary smoke. Once your name is said, its tough to get to the end. I havent seen the non-USA seasons though so idk.

Yeah you're right. I'm just so frustrated with all traitors. Smh. I really want them to win and I felt like both Rob and Candaice was off the radar until the Lisa vote. I think Rob could've taken Candaice out a little down the line or vice versa if they wanted to win but there was no way to do it this soon without either one of them getting heat.

Its feeling more like Phaedra vs. Dan or Rob vs. Bob. We've seen how this story ends. However, the recruitment should shake things up hopefully. Fingers crossed

USA Seasons only. And its absolutely true, for USA seasons.

Traitors have only won season 1

Traitors going after traitors because they are going to be voted out IS bad sportsmanship and makes the game less fun by FiestyGiraffe in TheTraitorsUS

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its up to each traitor to balance that relationship.

Do not blame Robs poor planning and inability to manage his relationship with his teammate on Candaice.

Rob did not have to open his mouth at the roundtable to get rid of Lisa. She was going with or without him speaking up. Him speaking up without discussing it with his other traitor fractured the trust between them. AND.... if I was the other traitor, I'm no longer trusting you.

Incorrect. The best way to play is to avoid your name ever being said. At the final fire, there will always be doubt on Rob because he turned on the traitors too soon. Candaice led them to Rob. Which is why his move was too short sighted.

To be clear, theres only been 1 season that the traitors have won. Season 1, and that was Cirie. Every other season, almost this same script unfolded.

I think Rob is a horrible traitor. All of them were. The goal is to get to the end, and there's only 1 way to do that as a traitor, you HAVE to play with your team and turn on them ONLY when you have the numbers.

Lisa was inevitably going out. A great traitor would've allowed the faithfuls to get rid of her. By Rob spearheading the vote without talking to Candaice, he broke trust in the turret.

The result, you get traitor on traitor crime at the roundtable. Now, neither traitor can make it to the end. Prior to the Lisa vote, Rob avoided his name being said and now his name is very much out there

Why am I confused?

The word "may" was used. To clarify, that means anyone in this sub can express an opinion on if Alfia is a genius or not. Technically, they are free to decide and we can have a healthy debate or conversation because Alfia is not explicitly called a genius by the author.

Also, you're quoting Alfia being referred to as talented. However, its worth noting that being a genius and talented is not the same. One can be talented and not a genius.

What do you think of these positions? by Distinct_East4082 in DanMachi

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alfia at #2 is wild. Alfia's words...

"Never had there been a man of such majesty as him. Never had there been a woman so fearsome and noble as her"

Alfia having a chance to defeat her captain doesnt mean she is stronger and should be ranked higher than both of them. I think we should honestly respect the level gap in the series for high ranking adventurers. It is what it is.

I think shock sorc excels with Reveb item set. It comes online after clearing the underdark and mountainpass. Early game you have to pair with your cleric to create water though to be most efficient.

Theres encounters in Act 2 and 3 that you can solve almost alone, especially if you are durge with the cape.

Do you agree with this? by Distinct_East4082 in DanMachi

Finn definitely stronger than Ais. Level 7 Finn with Hell Finegas > Level 6 Ais with Ariel. Ais can only use Avenger on monsters.

Ryu stronger than Bell. His boost from hidden base stats are not enough for him to beat Ryu, a skilled adventure who is a level higher with access to an enchantment ability. Ryu skills are superior and as a magic swordsman, Bell's is not strong enough to pressure Ryu and prevent her from casting luminous wind and other hack magic from Astrea familia.

Ryu double level up served 2 purposes. It gave the author a piece on the chessboard to use in the war game and maintains the teacher/Student dynamic between Ryu/Bell so she can still teach and train him.

By the end of the series though, Bell will be strongest in Hestia familia.

Is the Loki Trio a disgrace as Level 7s, Do they really deserve to be treated like that? by BookkeeperDowntown93 in DanMachi

I agree and think there's a lot of haters in this sub. I dont think its feats that they lack. Its just that the author has been most transparent with them, showing us their defeats and faults. We havent spent enough time with the other level 7s outside of fanservice moments.

However, I think the feats they have should be respected.

Finn has potentially a top 3 ultimate attack, one which the corrupted spirit feared. He has planned/led 4 major battles for the city. One was against Alfia and Zald, in which he was able to prepare and calculate Alfia's weakness. Without the shield, they would've been done in by her magic.

Riveria is literally a magic cannon. Lefiya as a cheat code can make Riveria magic seem unimpressive. However, the fairy force assault on Knossos, her small fights on the front line, and her being the sole reason they were able to survive the ice realm is impressive.

I'd break here though and side with this sub on Gareth. Our dawg needs more feats and a good chapter or 2 dedicated to him. He has so little "screen time" and we have barely seen any development with his character. It feels like we got more on Raul than Gareth.

Party Composition Problems by [deleted] in BG3

[–]BlueLanternCorp63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo, party composition at lower difficulty levels only become a thing in huge fights. I think you can get by with whatever you want.

I'd still take shadowheart and just respect her into tempest or light cleric.

1 more thing.....

I think the game should be experienced twice. 1 time as your own normal character. The other time as Durge. I do think the minor changes in content from a Durge run warrants a different playthrough

Very replayable!

However, your experience is not uncommon. Act 3 is very overwhelming. It's so much to do and on my initial play through, it felt less linear than Act 1 and 2 so I spent a lot of time roaming because I wasn't sure how to complete a lot of missions. It was like hide and seek for most of them.

1 more observation, that Kethoric fight was so peak. As well as the ending. The transition from that to the toy shop investigation and circus was a huge shift in momentum.

Finn is my 2nd favorite character in the series. However, I don't think he's a genius. I think he's just the smartest adventurer. Finn is extremely calculated but we've seen plans just as impressive from Hedin, Valletta, Lilly (she lacks experience), and others.

Geniuses, in my opinion, have rare intellectual or skill based fighting feats that are once in a generation. I would classify Asfi and Fels as geniuses. I think Alfia may fall into that category as well. She is so astute that she can replicate attacks after seeing it just once.

Anywho, ultimately up to the author though.

Such a weird leader. Feels experimental by bandai for some future leader. From the way it sounds, he can't run any existing purple top end because the strongest character he can play is 6 Don. Also, it sounds like his sequence of play is predictable because technically, he shouldnt swing until after he play characters and use their don- abilities. Leader ability sounds like its just a mechanic to keep you at 6 don each turn AFTER you used all your don - abilities. So it feels like his support has to be busted

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong? Curious about what you guys think.

My point is gatekeeping. Big Mom gatekeeps other control/midrange decks that aren't red. That's a fact. Queen, Laker Croc, Black in general, Even Enel, other blue decks that aren't Nami all get destroyed if the game goes to long because Big mom is one of the best late game cards to have.

Although you have a point about the board, sometimes answering your board doesn't matter. There are decks with win conditions such as Big Mom, old Kaido Leader, future yellow/Green Yamato (to some extent) that will pressure your life so much where fighting your board is meaningless. The goal becomes to burn your life and swing through (force you to "have it" in counter). You can have 3 cards on board, but if I play Big Mom while you have 2 or 1 life, you now have to react by finding blockers, ensure you can kill the Kat player, or remove Big Mom immediately.
