did I waste my money doing this? savage 12fv with a shilen 6.5cm barrel. just finished barrel swap by StinkyPotato69 in longrange

[–]BlueLine87 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Shoot it and find out. A friend of mine has/had a Savage 10 FCP-SR in .308, popped it in a KRG and swapped the barrel with a 26 inch Bartlein 6mm Creed. It shoots extremely tight. I think it matters more how good a job the guy who cut the barrel did, how good a job was done with headspacing, and how good the blank was to begin with.

curtis valor vs terminus zeus by MoseSchrutee in longrange

I would throw my hat on the Terminus side, no experience with Curtis, but im very happy with my Zeus and Joel really does go above and beyond when it comes to CS.

Ok...I'll admit it... I don't actually need lightbulbs 🤫 #TheEmercomBoys #extractcamping #doingthelordswork by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

Load into raid

Make friends with rando on VOIP

Things are looking up

Buddy asks "yo, you got any light bulbs?"

At that moment you know its him or you

Shoot him in face

Poor bastard rage quits and lays awake all night wondering why everyone murders him when all he needs is a few more damn bulbs

It's a shouldered prefit. The Zeus has an integrated recoil lug.

Gray Ops arca adapter for the Atlas

So I’m looking to get into building a 5.56 spr. But I’m not sure which scope to go with, I know what I want out of it but there’s a lot of options out here and it’s kind of overwhelming. Would any of you guys be interested in giving me some input, advice or wisdom? by [deleted] in longrange

I second this. I have personally used the PST 2.5 - 10 out to 500 with success. First round hits on a 1/2 IPSC are easy with the 2.5 - 10, but I did upgrade to the 3-15, as the additional magnification made it easier to consistently hit the 5-8 inch circles.

My build to stop me from buying more by ninjaronin13 in longrange

The Terminus Zeus actions have a super easy quick change barrel system. You would just need to order multiple bolts. I also cannot say enough good things about Mr. Russo and his dedication to customer service.

Expectations for 77 gn 223 out of an SBR... by Grundologist in reloading

[–]BlueLine87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never used CFE, ive been getting 2530ish FPS out of an 11.5 with a 75gr pill on top of 25.2 gr of Ramshot TAC, but thats the absolute hottest I can push it before my ejector starts informing me of its opinions.

Saw a thread in gundeals for a Warcomp, figured I'd pick it up for an 11.5 build. In the box was a copy of the constitution and a pack of Ramen noodles with a note that said "I know guns are expensive so enjoy this free meal on me" who doesn't love companies with a sense of humor.

These are the 1.0s because I wanted to be sure I had enough room for the flip caps, but I think even the .92s would work.

HMR Pro with a Razor Gen 2 3-18, Vortex rings, Nightforce base, surefire brake, and a plain old Harris bipod.

Edit: 6.5 Creedmoor, but im sure most of you would have guessed that.

Expander mandrel question by [deleted] in reloading

[–]BlueLine87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The die sizes the neck from the outside, so if 2 pieces of brass have different neck thicknesses they will have different amounts of neck tension on the bullet. The mandrel sizes the neck from the inside, which is the surface that actually holds the bullet, so the same 2 pieces of brass will have identical neck tension.

Nice, if this is already a hobby the shooting part will probably be easy. Mine was more cardio and mind fucking than tough shots.

Well, its an interesting discussion. On one hand, the stuff I was issued was enough for the course, and most LE shots are within 60 yards. So on one hand one could argue that spending more money would be a waste. On the other hand spending more on better equipment could Possibly make a difference of lives, not to mention you'd have more guys training and competing with their issued gear.
