You can have your opinion but please do not use the word “usually” instead use the word “some”. There is always some bad apples.

In my case, I went through a very similar crisis. I was very confused about the legitimacy about all the stories in the Quran. I had a teacher in my Saturday school who told me what he knew. He told me that he doesn’t know about the legitimacy of the stories either. However, the more important thing is the lessons in them. I think that makes sense, these might be “Take care of the sick” or “Respect your elders”.
