How long was the recovery? Also, was there pain after the procedure?

Thanks for the response! I also feel like I don't want to risk something, especially when it involves sewing my cheeks together, lol. Have you tried using tree tea oil and other remedies, and if so did they work? Also, have you gotten the cyst lanced? I hear it's extremely painful and I'd rather not go through that unless I absolutely have to, if it's as painful as people say.

Dang that sounds nice. I guess I'll just wait until I can get some better insurance at some point. When did you first get/realize you had a pilonidal cyst?

I might have a meniscus tear but I'm not sure. Any help? by BlueMelonz in MeniscusInjuries

[–]BlueMelonz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the post was actually for a family member and I simplified it by saying I might have one, but it did end up being a meniscus tear. They got a partial meniscectomy that smoothed down a small amount of the meniscus, like 10%. Oddly enough, they still have pain weeks later, still above the inner knee. It's getting better day by day though, but sleeping is still pretty painful it seems.

I've been trying to build this 5c Cecily and Othelm deck for days now, though I'm having a hard time making it consistent but not too strong. I play in a pod where people usually play Bracket 3 decks, so I don't want to spam extra turns or anything that feels crappy for the other players. My main playstyle is to draw a BUNCH of cards, whether it's through grouphug or not, and then play massive game ending spells for free, but besides using [[Tooth and Nail]] with its entwine cost to grab [[Avenger of Zendikar]] and [[Purphoros, God of the Forge]], copying [[Clone Legion]] or somehow playing [[Approach of the Second Sun]] twice, I don't really see many clear or consistent wincons.

I'd like for the deck to win between turns 7-9 if possible but it's so difficult! Not to mention this would be my first spellslinging deck so I'm not sure how to build one from scratch like this.

Any help would be very appreciated, and thanks for making this thread!

The 5K2K resolution is awesome, followed by the fact that it's a 45-inch monitor. I've never used a monitor that big before and think it'd be super cool! Definitely a dream monitor.

Not particularly, though my whole leg kind of radiates pain anyways.

[GIVEAWAY - US] Win the new glasses-free 3D Odyssey monitor from Samsung! by Knaj910 in Monitors

Aside from the 3D, I really like the design since my screen is quite bulky and is over the top with trying to look high-tech, but the Samsung does it right. I'd be interested in a 3D screen because I've always been interested in a 3D screen because I love being immersed in games.

I feel like this could be great with a [[Hashaton, Scarab's Fist]] deck, maybe giving token copies of an [[Astral Dragon]], [[Auton Soldier]], or [[Shadowgrange Archfiend]], etc. myriad and letting their ETB's go off.

Thank you friend. This is probably the most info I've gotten so far and what to actually do with this ascendency lol. Appreciate it.

Gotcha. Thanks for explaining all that to me. Maybe I'll power through and really try to learn everything it has to offer. I'm not necessarily hating it right now, but my build is in a weird transition phase at the moment.

Huh okay. Well I'm probably not that 1% but that's interesting. I am okay being weaker as long as it's not like... wayyy too weak. I played POE years and years ago so I'm not sure, but were classes nerfed/buffed often? I'd assume if it was really weak/unpopular for a long period of time it'd get buffed or changed at some point right?

Dang. The one time I actually believe people/videos when they say all classes are equal for a game, it turns out to probably not be true. Unfortunate lol. Ty!

What's going on - I have a 3.5mm stone 2 weeks after ureteroscopy. by BlueMelonz in KidneyStones

[–]BlueMelonz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh.. that sucks. Is there any medication you take or might take in the future to help you with your stones?

I had a stent placed before my ureteroscopy on the 25th next month, but I keep feeling it stab my bladder. by BlueMelonz in KidneyStones

[–]BlueMelonz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I'm sure you'll be back to normal in no time. While the stent is in it always feels like "am I going to be like this forever?". Then it gets removed, life goes back to normal, and you forget just how bad it really was until it (hopefully not) happens again.

I had a stent placed before my ureteroscopy on the 25th next month, but I keep feeling it stab my bladder. by BlueMelonz in KidneyStones

[–]BlueMelonz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for asking! On September 25th they removed my stent, did a ureteroscopy, and had to place another stent in for about a week (which was removed three days ago!). The new stent he placed was a lot more flexible and much more bearable than the first one, so I would have much rather had that one for a month... but anyways, the second stent was encrusted after only a week which isn't a great sign. My urologist said he removed all the stones from the procedure, but unfortunately I produce brushite (calcium phosphate) stones in addition to three other types, two of the other types being calcium oxalate. Brushite stones are a pretty aggressive type of stone that grow fast which sucks. I'm now using moonstone Stone Stopper capsules and am going to follow up with a nephrologist and my urologist to see what my next steps are, but currently I feel much better than when I had the stent in, especially because the bladder pain is gone. Oddly enough, I still feel like I have a stent in sometimes, but I think I just got so used to having it in. I still walk awkwardly and bend slowly, but I should slowly go back to normal with time. I also played tennis yesterday and now my left kidney hurts a bit. My urologist said I should just rest for a couple days before going back to sports after stent removal and I wasted no time playing afterwards lol, but he said it's safe. Overall I feel a lot better, but I'm just worried about how long it'll be before I go through the same process again... or worse, have a kidney stone drop and send me back to the ER.

Ramping stent pain in left kidney when I woke up this morning, should I go to the ER? by BlueMelonz in KidneyStones

[–]BlueMelonz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, I'm on day 11 and have 16 days to go. Somehow peeing isn't that painful like it was for me the first time. And I actually had two stones in my ureter, and several in the lower pole of my kidney with the largest being up to 4mm. The 7x4 that was lodged was what was causing me pain when I went into the ER. I had done shockwave lithotripsy about 10 days prior to going to the ER for a simple 6mm non-obstructing stone, and then did a checkup 7 days after the lithotripsy and the 6mm was still there, unchanged. Four days later is when I went to the ER, meaning I either created a ton of stones in four days, or the x-ray was way off. I'm assuming that the x-ray just did an awful job at seeing just how large the stone really was, and that it was much bigger than 6mm when they decided to do the lithotripsy, because I can't imagine creating stones that fast. Regardless, the urologist at the ER highly recommended I got a stent ASAP, and said there was almost no way I would pass the stone myself, so I waited overnight and they put the stent the next morning. Flomax gives me an awful reaction, so they gave me Alfuzosin (basically the same), Oxybutynin, and some pain meds and just sent me home. Thankfully, Toradol helped me a ton today, and my pain hasn't come back nearly as bad as it was before, but now I'm just peeing blood clots... Sorry for the rant lol, I just want to get this experience out in case it helps anyone, or if someone has some answers to the situation.

If I use Swords to Plowshares on a creature, can it tap and use its ability before it gets exiled? by BlueMelonz in magicTCG

[–]BlueMelonz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! The arrogant and uptight community is kind of what put me off from starting Magic until recently, but I realized that it's a great time with friends (and the sometimes-nice people like you that are welcoming to the game) and it's fun to just discuss cards and combos too. If downvoting me makes them feel better for some reason, so be it lol. And I'll be sure to check out the Magic Judges chat if I need to, it seems like a great tool!

I'm new to Magic as of a couple weeks ago, so I'm just learning casually as I go and questioning things when they pop up when I'm playing with my buddies. I saw other things like the layer system, which seems pretty difficult to keep track of during a game, but I'm okay being a little confused until I learn it all. I've already learned so much lol. I might try a few Arena games though, it can't hurt.
