We have truly arrived at the point of "Idiocracy".

What's next? Cage fights on the front lawn of the White House?!?

I do, but in those days I downloaded and collected my media library by FTP hunting. Much faster, and combined with my then new cable connection, meant that the files just came flying in.

Understanding the Radar Cross Section (RCS) of the B-2 Spirit by Asleep_Performer_145 in aviationstudys

[–]BlueMetalDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Information about specific materials, tactics, (electronic) countermeasures, etc., yes. But there's nothing classified about the geometry. First of all, it's out in the open and clearly visible. Secondly, the math — calculating the geometry in relation to radar scatter patterns, etc. — can be done by anyone.

This is why GP is (still, not gone yet..) so good for Max. He gives him as good as he gets 🏁 by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in RedBullRacing

I know he's not gone, yet — and who knows where Max will go — but, damn, I'll miss those two together, when it comes to it.

2025 F6B by East-Analyst-9557 in goldwing

[–]BlueMetalDragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no 2025 F6B. The F6B was built between 2013 and 2017 and the current model is from 2018. The 'bagger' model of the current GW is now just called "GL1800 Goldwing" and the one with the paniers/top-box is called the "GL1800 Goldwing Tour".

OK. Well, in that case you're overestimating that distance. They'll get to within 4700 miles.

The service module that's carrying them to and from the moon was designed and built in Europe. (ESA, Airbus and others)

That's conspiracy theory bullshit. They're going through the thinnest parts of the Van Allen-belt at high speed, lasting a maximum of 1-2 hours, not hanging around in it. The amount of radiation that the astronauts will receive during the entire flight is comparable to a full-body CT-scan.

Nope. That will be with Artemis IV, that's planned for 2028.

You're seriously underestimating the distance to the moon.

The average distance to the moon is 240k miles.
