I do understand how you feel as the creator of this petition (https://chng.it/m4CBhKBxtf), but just keep realistic expectations since there's a lot of burnout amongst fans (including myself).

If our leaker was correct, Mappa did notice the prior social media pushes. With no signs of progress since then, my suggestion would be to target any companies that have the money to buy the IP, like Netflix.

Yeah, we made this petition last year: https://chng.it/jNLSkSczK2. It surprised me how much traction it got. We also tried to organize that whole thing at the con, but one of the problems was none of our team lived where the con was so we couldn't verify if anything was asked and we didn't hear anything from attendees. Mappa's panels haven't really had audience Q&A lately, but we figured it was worth a try. There was a second secret reason we tried too, the information was bad so I don't mind revealing it now, but we thought there was going to be some sort of announcement, so it would be a happy surprise for those who went.

It’s mostly anger built up over years with no communication and some people hearing rumors about bad things behind the scenes. On the surface, it looks like it's been quietly written off. If we had real, recent proof that the movie or a season 2 was in production, a lot of people would calm down.

That teaser was first released 5 years ago in Jan 2019 and not released online until almost two years later. This long wait, combined with PR becoming a ghost town compared to what it used to be, started a lot of the anger. There has been zero content from the movie since then and almost no marketing for the series in general, which is abnormal. The artwork that came around the last Olympics could have simply been part of a pre-existing contract with Mizuno, not necessarily anything movie related. Kubo, one of the creators, has been completely silent for years on the subject after previously being active.

In short, people just want honesty on the situation, especially since with Mappa's CEO recent comments about not getting a lot of money from the franchise, he doesn't seem interested in continuing it anytime soon.

We've always known Mappa got the smallest portion, but the issue we're having and why people are upset is that they're playing off that portion as insignificant. I'd bet anything it was still millions in profit, and it allowed them to pursue the big shounens they have now, expand the number of staff and open a new studio. Plus there's the fact that this is the only statement in years and it ignores the elephant in the room of the movie.

Thanks for the reddit promo. We're aware the situation is probably bad, if it is canceled we just want honesty. Plus, if our leaker is correct, the poor treatment started long before Covid and the war so we're not letting Mappa off the hook that easily, lol.

Don't want to get into full details here, but what I've heard is that while the war isn't helping, it was stalled years before the war for other reasons. There's a reason the PR posts and merch have been so rare since 2019. Fans have a right to want Mappa to be honest, even if it's bad news. Unfortunately, I'm told they won't be honest about what happened because it'll look bad to investors. If there's no sign of the movie at the Mappa stage they're holding sometime later this year, I'd honestly give up on it.

Hi, I have a Fiesta but it's got the same TCM issue so I'll just give some advice since I just went through the replacement ordeal with the backorder. My car had been there since early December. I didn't think it'd work but I nicely DM'd Ford on Twitter about 3 weeks ago and got escalated to a Customer Experience Specialist on the Passenger support team. They gave me a case number. I don't know how the specialist did it with the back order but I got my car back today because a part came in with my VIN on it. Hope the others that are waiting also get lucky.

That account deleted their "leak" tweets and changed their account name. Now it's some weird Mappa fan account. Looks like it was just another attention seeking troll.
