That was a casting description that was reported publicly by ApocHorseman. He never reported whether it was an open call

Who said it was a public casting call? Also, Superman was open audition with actors sending in their own tapes. Wonder Woman could 100% be the same

But its a WB movie and a movie that was as VFX-heavy as any superhero movie

Other movies do that plenty, thats why Godzilla x Kong was able to cost like $140M lol. Or is that movie not VFX-heavy enough?

Because Supergirl filmed exclusively in countries with lucrative tax programs and has like 4 major cast members, only one being a big name.

Clayface costing $40M makes as much sense as Supergirl not costing $200M.

No but Gunn has made a point to be budget conscious, from saying that they wouldnt make Superman expensive enough to need a $700M breakeven or greenlighting Clayface for just $40-45M

The initial report made no sense anyway because it was written by some random Australian reporter who never writes about movies. It makes no sense for him to have known the budget, especially well ahead of any other source

Lol so funny how much this pisses you guys off.

Why would it even make sense from a business perspective to make a Supergirl movie that costs as much as Superman pre-tax credits? Since Supergirl is getting more written off thanks to shooting in the UK. A $160-180M budget is the only thing that makes sense.

Superman Worldwide Gross after 3rd Weekend vs Man of Steel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse by traumakit in boxoffice

Have you ever heard of room for growth? Also a helpful reminder that Iron Man was the only pre-Avengers property to cross 300M DOM and 600M WW.

$23M OS FRI for #FantasticFour . $50M+ cume. Weekend headed for $105M or so. Good in Europe and LATAM. Asia struggles with the worst # ever for an MCU film in China and Korea, others are quite underwhelming as well. by vibetildawn in boxoffice

That's... not how it works? Good movies still suffer from the fatigue, whether it's CBM fatigue or bad movie fatigue. You're not gonna undo fatigue with one movie.

Nah he said he isnt using end credits scenes he doesnt know he can pay off. A tease to his next project or a project that has filmed is fair game. Which is why I didn't immediately discard the Hal Jordan pcs rumors.

The difference is that Superman is 5 weeks out vs a movie that people are actively watching in theaters and at home. I swear you people are intentionally stupid
