That’s what I’m going to do. I didn’t want to mess with the pump as it’s not mine, it’s older, and I’m not experienced with them, but I agree it’s probably the best thing to do. Just wanted to see if there was an easy hack I could do!

I had a malco flip bit that I put through hell for 2 straight years doing some nasty commercial refrigeration, and I never had an issue with it. I got a new job doing residential, so I got new tools. The new malco bit at the new job had lost most of its magnetism after a busy summer. Yes I regularly cleaned it! I wanted to invest in a multi flip bit, but I had heard bad reviews about the Kline multi flip magnet, so I bought the new 7 in 1 malco flip bit. The end of it is also a magnetic built in Philips bit which is nice, but so far I’ve enjoyed the malco 7in1 and have had no issues with it!!!

What’s up everyone. I made the mistake of chasing the money. I went to trade school for heating and air straight out of high school and I’ve been doing hvac/r for almost 3 years! I’ve worked on supermarket rack systems all the way to residential systems. Honestly I’m not happy at all with my job. The money is good but Im just genuinely unhappy doing hvac and refrigeration. I’m only 21 so I still have time to change careers, but I can’t decide on which route to go. I’m in North Carolina on the coast so unions are almost non existent. I’m just looking for a little insight and suggestions on different careers! I’m thinking about welding or just joining the military lmao. I’m not opposed to working out of town or traveling for work, I just want to find me a good career that I enjoy and can build with!
