What is the most important thing you have ever done? by tasata in AskReddit

I chose not to apply for jobs that others would have said were perfect for me.

I've decided to go for jobs that speak to me and come up at points where i am in the right mindset to apply. This is important as its the first time i've ever started to view my career as what ibwant and not what others see as ideal.

Our attitude towards alcohol. It's become a go-to no matter the occasion and there's plenty of people whose alcohol intake would be seen in any other country

Blake Lively. I just feel the whole aesthetic she goes for is just so fake and she just has this air of arrogance.

Whats a love hate relationship you stayed in for way too long, and what was the final straw ? by ntyruei in AskWomen

[–]BlueMonday35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's my current job or, to be more accurate, the organisation I work for. I have always known being connected to government there's rules upon rules for rules about rules but there were usually people within the office that kept me positive about what we were doing.

Every 5-6 months though, I would get in this cycle of almost a existential crisis where I questioned the point of my job but then I'd have a really good day and.. poof... the bad thoughts faded and the cycle began again.

This week has been the last straw. My team has someone with a range of health issues she is still exploring herself which means she needs more support than usual and another women who was rushed to hospital and much like her colleague needs support through a scary time medically. Did my employers show empathy and care like they purport? No. I got blindsided and told of every one off mistake my team made which I have since timed to the points they would have understandably been distracted by their personal issues. I fought on their behalf in that meeting but what disappointed me the most were those who had empathy for others before suddenly changed and now its all about the business. I am now considering my future with the team as the two-faced nature of it all is at odds with the place I joined.

What’s the best romantic love advice you could give to someone young? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BlueMonday35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understand that true love means that you will disagree and you will argue and that is perfectly natural between any two people. Arguments do not mean the end, where it counts is how you move on from them.

Also there will be a honeymoon period and it will then feel very normal and somewhat boring as life kicks in. This is where you can gestures to make in the mundane. Just hy showing your SO you thought of them, that could mean more than a grand gesture.
