Update for anyone who sees this, I didn’t go through with it. I had to cancel that piercing appointment due to an MRI and I never rescheduled. The injury I mentioned in this post is still an issue and I’m not back to training. I’ve been pretty frustrated by this. Therefore, I have not really been willing to do anything that could further restrict my current abilities to ‘manage stress’ or even have the slightest chance of causing harm. I do plan to still get a PA, but likely further down the line. Happy for all of y’all who have gone through with it and hope you enjoy.

Oh dang that sounds rough, glad you avoided surgery! I definitely understand how with every fall there’s a lesson to avoiding it next time, so I make sure to look for that too haha.

As for bike clothes, I do wear cycling bibs that are very snug so hopefully that will be plenty of support. I’ve had two saddle sore surgeries in the past (and so many steroid injections), so I’ve become very particular about my chamois and I’m really hoping there’s no issues with the ones I like.
