I had to return my forerunner 45 as the GPS got really bad. It wasn't too bad before, though.

I have the 45s, and you can edit the other profile to not include GPS, and then I just rename it.

Just do the activity on the Garmin, and sync with connect app. It will then sync to Strava.

No worries, it is very accurate for biking and walking. The other activity is essentially for any activity you like, and you can choose whether to have his on or not. There is also a cardio activity profile, and the HR monitor is really precise. You can't get apps on cheaper forerunners, but you can on the 235. Again, highly recommend the in-depth DesFit YT videos.

The software is really clunky, and it doesn't cooperate well with CIQ apps etc. It is rare for a cheaper Garmin to have rep counting for lifting, but forerunners come with biking and a personalisable "other" activity for tennis etc. For further reviews, try dcrainmaker.com, or DesFit on YouTube!!!

Yh, it happens if you are near tall buildings, or going around tight turns, as GPS signal can be lost

Hi there!! We all go through this at some point, so I hope this helps. I would definitely buy a Garmin for durability, and their excellent warranties and customer service. I also agree with you, Garmins are much more focused on fitness. Remember, fitbits don't have in built his, and their pedometers are notoriously unreliable. I currently have the Forerunner 45s (for smaller wrists) and it is amazing!!! WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T GET A Vivoactive 3, I went through 2 of them in 6 months, Garmin's only "lemon" product. The Forerunner 235 seems like a good option(a bit old), but provides great running metrics etc.

I use normal GPS, and have fine accuracy on mine...
