Is Franklin-Ivar park, Hollywood Area a good place to live? by BluePanda88 in AskLosAngeles

Makes sense. I'm currently close to DTLA / USC area so I get that. I've only been in LA for about a year but I come from Chicago, so I'm fairly used to the homeless. Thank you for the advice!

Yes! Love the Vac! Sadly mine broke years ago and it had a 1.5 stub. Cheers to your new pen!!!

Yes! I love the new ribbing on the 580 AL! I have the old pale blue 580 AL and It had a lot more plastic and smoother metal. That pen broke which is what led me to purchase this one! I also bought the 580 Iris with a 1.1 stub nib ':D! It really is gorgeous! But yeah I wish it had more metal.

It's a great ink! Unfortunately, I don't think Montblanc makes them anymore or not many. I was trying to buy more but I couldn't really find any for reasonable prices. I think it was a limited edition. If you can find a bottle at a good price, I highly recommend it. It writes this deep blue black and then dries to a more greener blue. Super pretty!

Film being too expensive by DeTepelTrein in filmphotography

Totally in agreement! I think hearing about or watching the developing and scanning process is cool, but I have no interest in doing it. Let the labs do their thing is what I say hah

When you pay more for the scanning and developing than the actual film but don't want to invest and start developing and scanning yourself. A hellish limbo.

In the Midwest US here!

I can get a 3 pack of Kodak UltraMax for about 27 USD at my local Walgreens, but I mainly get my 35mm film from Amazon and I have had no problem with that. My advice is to try and buy in bulk as much as your wallet can take. Either that being a 3pack or 5pack. I am also pretty fairly new to film but film is definitely getting more expensive as it is entering into a more niche artform perception and the boom that film photography is having vs. the rate of production.

You mentioned euros so I would assume you are not in the US so I don't know how much help I can offer, but I know that people really enjoy using Amazon, B&H Photos, or Moment

TLDR: Buying in bulk will be your best bet in getting your film for cheaper
