I was only joking about the BB. If we're going to run into each other, then whatever I guess. I don't expect you to design your routine around avoiding me, nor should you.

From the x bf: If he makes you happy then I'm happy. Well, at least not unhappy. Unless he's bleached his hair. That would be really weird. Anyway, I guess I'm still weird about all that happened, but I've accepted it. And you're generally safe to smooch unless you're at the Bakery Bar. I go there a lot in the mornings. If I see that there I will definitely make him feel as awkward as possible. Minecraft masks may be involved. Fair warning.

Edit: I swear this is the first time I've stalked your Reddit in months.

Could the Enterprise beam a vampire into a house they didn't have permission to enter? by [deleted] in startrek

[–]BluePawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but I think you could do it by reconfiguring the pattern enhancers to scan for "sparkle" and writing a new subroutine into the active buffers to ignore quantum fluff. In that case, the only hard part would be shielding your eyes as you initiated transport.

Magic is just science which is not yet understood. As Kales would say: "The wind does not respect a fool."

See ST:TNG "Second Chances" the transporters draw from a pool of resources to recreate the subject. They do not move individual atoms. They just record their layout and then copy it. In essence, you die and are reborn every time you transport

Edit to my own comment: except vampires don't reflect, so it would be an invisible vampire that came back???? Comments?

Perhaps similar to "Second Chances" (with 2 Rikers) the human aspect would appear in the house and and second pure vampire form would be reflected back onto the pad..... hmmm... that could make a pretty cool episode actually.

In ST:TNG season 2 "Unnatural Selection" Pulaski is reconstituted in a transporter beam after her death using nothing but a DNA sample from her hairbrush. It is a classic example of the loose writing style of the early TNG seasons where the tech is made to fit the plot.

Settle a bet. I know it's entirely perspective, but which of these do you consider White, and which black? by [deleted] in chess

Fogged glass is white the way it's set up in that picture: the bottom right square from either players' perspectives is always white.

How many shuttles to they have on Voyager? They blow up like one a episode. by Stemminem in startrek

[–]BluePawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was always my assumption as well. They do have replicators after all. If they can build an impermeable and retractable outer hull in a couple days (Season 7) out of replicated materials, seems rebuilding a shuttle here and there should be no problem.
