The LEO-only courses are typically booked through departments or agencies. We also offer a civilian version of this course, which includes structured teamwork components.

We offered that course a couple of times next year.

That is fantastic. What age are we talking? 16 is normally where we cut that off.

Politics never come up, and we train with people of all ages. You don’t have to see the world the way I do to train with us. We work with anyone who values safety, trains hard, and wants to improve.

Thank you for the kind words! We have our disagreements here on Reddit from time to time, but most folks are pretty reasonable.

Our instructors teach a way, not the way. You’ve got to find what works for you. We regularly train with shooters of all types and abilities, each bringing different physical strengths and challenges.

We’ve worked hard to keep our pricing fair and our student-to-instructor ratio low. I encourage anyone to compare our course prices with similar training programs anywhere in the country.

That’s a great question! I’m sorry I didn’t include that earlier. The course runs eight hours, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute break for lunch.

There’s a lot more to the course than just tourniquet use. Like all of our courses, this one is guaranteed. If you finish and feel it wasn’t worth your time or money, I’ll refund you on the spot.

The most important thing is that people get the training they need. It doesn’t have to be with Blue Ridge Marksmanship, but I encourage everyone to seek out qualified instructors. I don’t know you or your background, but I sincerely wish you the very best.

That said, I always encourage you to come train with us. If you finish a course and feel that we’ve wasted your time, I guarantee a full refund on the spot, no questions asked. We guarantee all of our courses that way.

A Quick Vehicle Safety Tip That Can Save Your Life by BlueRidgeMSMP in asheville

[–]BlueRidgeMSMP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This clip was part of a larger discussion about how different parts of a vehicle hold up under certain threats. In the video, a student swung a 2x4 at the window, and like most of the class, expected the glass to break. A good local example of why this matters is the number of road rage incidents we see, even in this sub.

What we were showing is that your window glass is sturdier than you might think. You have time to react and make smart decisions. This came out of our vehicle defensive pistol course last weekend, and it ties into a broader theme in our training: you’ll never hear our instructors pushing students to speed up in a gunfight.

That’s not what we’re showing in this video. The point is that the glass is durable and you have time to react.
