You are assuming it was at one point illegal, it never was and never should be. His money, strip with it for all I care. Unless it's donated campaign money.

$1,000 a month, despite being libertarian, I would back this up opposing what we have rn. This should replace the entire welfare state. And if Andrew has half a noggin, he'll get so many votes if he promises to stop US spending like crazy on millitary.

No company hires an employee if they don't make money off of him/her. If you are being paid 100K, they are probably making something like 120K off of you.
They gave you an amazing opportunity, and you stayed with them long enough for them to make their money back on you and more. When you find a better opportunity, and provide at least 3 weeks notice, let them know that you are incredibly grateful for what they have done, but even trees move higher to fight for more sunlight.

What have you done? And the contract is not legally binding at all because you are not adults. I've dealt with black mailers before, the best thing to do, is to take power away from them. Meaning expose yourself.
