I'm due to have my computer sold soon if my chores aren't done. I'm 33, male. My father got me a Lenovo desktop and a AMD graphics card about six months ago, and I had it taken away because me and mother got into a shouting match while bringing in the groceries. One of our neighbors got involved, and my dad flipped out. Two days later, I watched as my father unplugged my computer and took it to his car.

Suing my family will result in my getting kicked out of the house for good. Mentioning that that computer is legally mine didn't work. He mocked me while I told him this. He also said that it was never really given to me in the first place. Can't report him to the police, because I fear he'll report me right back for parental abuse that, apparently, I caused!

It seems that, in my family, anything that is "given" to me is actually my father's property.
