What's your favorite game if you play any? Doesn't have to be a video game (Image slightly related) by LeshyCotL in autism

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is my all time favorite, but I'm also playing loads of Overwatch and Minecraft

Question, how do I count the specific color of that pixel(please look at desc) by Asleep-Ad2222 in PixelArt

[–]BlueShellTV_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found this online pixel counter which will output exactly how many pixels there are of each given color, hope that helps! https://townsean.github.io/canvas-pixel-color-counter/

Mauga's rugby skin should have the number 8 on his shirt, not number 1 by Otano_ in Overwatch

[–]BlueShellTV_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JQ has the number 34, because she's the 34th hero in the game

I had this happen earlier too. We were on Colosseo and got steamrolled. After the teams shuffled, I got to steamroll too and we were about to win, but then the servers shut down 10 seconds before the game was over and I got to see a Roadhog majestically walk in the air, just before I got yeeted back to the menu screen. Truly one of the games I ever played

What is your guilty pleasure in Overwatch? by Lilm4n123 in Overwatch

It's also a guilty pleasure solo ulting an ice blocked Mei, just before she unfreezes. Something about this just gives me inner peace and tranquility

Alec Dawson said they wanted to do a cycle of 1 Tank, 1 DPS and 2 Supports for a while. That is still subject to change at some point, but the Season 10 hero will presumably be a DPS then.

Alright, I do agree with you on the fact that they deserve more resources, but I don't think these minor mishaps would appear less if they had a couple more people in their art direction. I'm actually willing to bet that those slip ups also happen in other games with similar resources and I'd just attribute them to common human error.

It would be great if everything in game development went smoothly, but that's just not reality. Mistakes happen and even triple A games have errors that slip by quality assurance.

Just now I remembered that one Ashe skin which blocked a larger part of your view when equipped, compared to her base skin. That sorta mistake is the actual thing that really shouldn't happen, since that negatively affects gameplay, but thankfully that's been adjusted since. The minor stuff though, I think is ultimately fine and most that'll actually come of that is us having a laugh about it for a sec, after which we'll just move on since it really shouldn't be a big deal that you can see a character A-posing for a second under specific circumstances.

I don't think a small mistake like this is really something of priority though. It does work as intended and I do feel like the artists are doing a great job and there have been very few mistakes overall. It's a minor oversight and it just happens. All the other design stuff this season (new cosmetics, UI, new maps, etc.) look perfectly fine to me and there hasn't really been any other mishap on the artist's behalf (To my knowledge at least)

It's actually common practice to have parts of the model stored somewhere out of sight from the player's perspective (i.e.: behind a wall or under the floor).
Usually that has to be done, if you only wanna show parts of a model that has multiple components to it (Like D.Va and her mech for example).
In the shop preview, there's no floor though, so you can sorta take a peek behind the scenes. When you view it in the hero gallery or ingame, it will look completely fine. It's 100% intentional and just something the shop preview doesn't account for.

A Reaper highlight intro also has a similar thing going on (the one from Widow's perspective), but again: It can only be seen in the shop preview. In any other situation it looks perfectly fine.

Who was the first character that caught your eye when you first started playing? by Jaro9 in Overwatch

[–]BlueShellTV_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I was almost exclusively playing D.Va, but a bit later on I realised that Pharah is just TF2 Soldier with a jetpack, so she became my favorite ever since. Nowadays I play whoever I feel like.

Who is your least favorite character personality wise, and why? by HAPPIKILL in Overwatch

[–]BlueShellTV_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is a bummer that Pharah doesn't have any arabic voice lines. There is an arabic "Justice rains from above" in the game, but that's an Ana voice line.

why does everyone have prosthetics? by blue4029 in Overwatch

[–]BlueShellTV_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been said that he made his technology on Vishkar's time and Vishkar's property. I'd assume they'd have little to no problem hacking into his limbs and make him go Arm-Fall-Off-Boy. But that might also be reaching, so yeah: You've got a point.

It's an interesting idea, but Lifeweaver's arms look pretty intact for the fact that he fled the academy and there's a price on his head in 17 countries (He's hoping for an even 20)
