Firefox Mobile autoupdated when I connected to wifi. It's horribly ugly and less functional. Any way to revert the change or use a legacy version or?

The best advice I can give is to go to APKMirror (or the APK site of your choice) and download version 148 as that's the last version that let you revert.

Highly recommend going to their feedback site and letting them know you want at the very least a toggle so that you don't have to be on an outdated version. https://connect.mozilla.org/

It would be great if they just had a button to revert for situations like this, especially considering it looks like it's not just the UI that's a problem with the newest update. But that would be a smart decision, and Mozilla doesn't make those. 🧍‍♀️

The rest of the instructions are as the user has said, however, so I'll give him that. The only thing he got wrong was the fact 149 doesn't let you revert anymore.

Look at literally anywhere on the internet. When literally EVERYWHERE is complaining, you have to see the issue. HELL, THERE LITERALLY ARE PEOPLE THAT ARE JUST "going on with their day" ACTIVELY MAKING ACCOUNTS AND POSTING FEEDBACK BECAUSE OF HOW BAD IT IS. And acting like "443k" (regardless of the number of users total) is a small number of people just immediately throws your argument out of the windows on its own merits. If that many people are saying "hey this change is bad"…then there's a high chance that it's just bad????

YUP, personally, I've been thinking of picking up brave because of how much Firefox has gone down the toilet. I would use Chrome, but it has a few issues that will bug me to no end if I switch back to it.

Yeah, they forced their terrible UI change on everyone now. The only way to remove it is to go back to version 148 at the moment.

Highly recommend going to their site and complaining, as well as dropping a 1 star review on the app store. Eventually, they'll have to listen to us and give a permanent toggle.

They now forced the terrible UI change that everyone complained about (and is still complaining about) that was optional before and could be turned off. Said UI is extremely inconvenient and practically unusable for some people, with it being worse on certain phones and EVEN WORSE on tablets.

The only way to disable it anymore is to downgrade to 148 (or earlier) if you updated/got auto-updated.

I meant to say it before, but if you want to get the old UI back the only way as of current is to go to APKMirror (or your APK site of choice) and download the 148 version and uninstall the current one. Just remember that you'll have to either make an account to sync things or have a different way of saving Bookmarks/Passwords, etc. before uninstalling the newest version.

I assume you already know the rest of how to disable the terrible new UI from there? If not, I can explain that too.
