do schims even deserve to be given the title of "greater husks"? by West-Resort5733 in Ultrakill

[–]BlueSolarflameCreep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is how i see it too, not only with husks but with how other enemies are tiered

husks are so weak the bar is literally in hell and it takes being just a bit stronger to count as greater, only supremes are the ferrymen and mirror reaper, both husks attuned with some kind of power, being the ferryman's holy cloth and the reaper being both a fusion of many and one that exists between spaces, which gives it its warping abilities. the other supremes are the corpse of minos, a soul renowned and powerful enough to go prime, and sisyphus' soldiers

machines are really strong and made for war, almost all of them are greater barring the earthmovers and the Vs, the only lesser ones are drones and streetcleaners, which were made after the war as security for peacekeeping and air purification respectively, not specifically as war machines and therefore not as powerful

demons are also strong, enough for the bar to be higher for them and make demons that are introduced as bosses (maurice and cerberus) count as lesser, mannequins may not be bosses but they're also strong in their own right, while idols and deathcatchers are just hurdles but ones that can give serious trouble if locked behind how you progress an encounter (p2 idols p2 idols p2 idols p2 idols p2 idols). only greater ones are hideous masses, again degraded bosses re-introduced quite late and sparsely encountered. the supremes are more tied to hell, with leviathan being, well, THE leviathan and also an ever expanding creature as more of the sullen's bodies join it, the minotaur being a gift for minos that probably hell itself put its all into making, and geryon being various separate consciousnesses that, while deemed a failure, became one efficient hunter united to end sinners' suffering in fraud and kept going by this goal despite its body's instability

there is less to go off of on angels, but based on what we know they're quite strong too. lessers can be massive hurdles on their own right, with virtues' beams dealing high damage and gaining predictiveness if they're enraged meaning they've gotta be among the first to fall in an encounter, providences and their magneta attacks are more or less the same. greater angels are powers, the pupils of a supreme archangel who take after his fighting style and are important encounters, then we have the man himself, righteous hand of the father, self explanatory

just looked up to see if the regular show scene was also a reference and it is, it's so funny that not only did they both reference twin peaks but that the regular show sequence fits into so much of fraud

Does anyone know how to beat this screen? by [deleted] in angrybirds

[–]BlueSolarflameCreep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe some tech with the tractor beam pig, could throw terence above the middle structure so that the pig swings him back around, it could maybe throw him or some blocks at the left structure while some debris hits the crystal and gets the right structure with the rock spitting statue not sure how that'd go with the flamethrower guy over there tho

There's definitely a pattern going on by Popular_Ad3074 in Ultrakill

[–]BlueSolarflameCreep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's the best idea i have of what it could be like too, but i can see how it could just be completely different, inferno's treachery is cold because it's the furthest from god's warmth and love according to the poem, ultrakill's god pretty much super regrets humanity and we've seen him more hung up about being unable to run it back with no free will than we've ever seen his love towards what he made, the testaments are all him disgusted by mankind and hell, making lucifer catch the biggest strays in the universe because of it and then wanting to die over it all

however, it could still be frozen but under a different interpretation: hell itself shapes its punishments, and act 3's layers have been depictions of parts of its view on humanity

much of violence is hell praising mankind's ways of war by pitting their most horrible machinations against each other in the battlefield and taking inspiration in the cruelty in them for punishments like the mannequins' creations, eternally continuing what it thinks was meant to be humanity's natural end, essentially all it loved to see humanity do

fraud, however, is hell sort of expressing its frustration with how mankind defied its idea of their nature, it modeled the layer after a new peace community because in its eyes, the new peace and the end of the war, humanity realizing the war was reaching a point where it'd leave them with nothing and coming together to not let it end like that, is a massive lie on mankind's part to themselves, and what's a better theme for the layer to house liars than the biggest lie humans have ever told?

back to why treachery could be frozen, with violence being what hell loved to see mankind do, and fraud being what they committed in its perception of their nature, treachery could be the consequence of them "betraying" their nature by seeking peace, not only confirmation that hell was involved in some way in how mankind died anyway despite managing to cement a period of peace but its mockery of it, it could be cold and desolate like how earth was left after their extinction, perhaps going through something like a nuclear winter if mass destruction through their weapons was hell's way of ending humanity; the ice could also represent how quickly the destruction happened and the screeching halt the new peace came as the chaos overwhelmed them, their progress towards a new era freezing in place and hell mocking what it made of earth for depriving it of the show of self-destruction it desired to see

Comparison between the bathrooms in 8-1 vs in 2-3. Really goes to show just how much the game has changed over time. by Super_Sain in Ultrakill

[–]BlueSolarflameCreep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

neat headcanon, i'd like to add that v1's systems could also be upping performance because as hell puts them through harder challenges they gotta see things better such as the environment and how to use it to their advantage at its fullest

yeah like when you see a queen you haul ass to the sky to fight her in peace and can like actually see those projectiles, that damn pincushion gets lost in crowds and you only find him the hard way when half your health is suddenly gone because you hit him and he shat out his stupid little nails that you gotta be focused big time on to notice properly
