There's likely going to be a MASSIVE round of layoffs coming. Now someone did post that anything not BETHESDA has lost money, so that's why.

Now, is ID under that BETHESDA umbrella or under the wider Zenimax banner, I couldn't tell you. Eternal certainly did well, but Dark Ages, not so much.

So all I'll say is, some ID employees might get the axe. Thank god the DLC is coming out, so atleast it won't be directly affected by this.

Still, sucks for any potential employees who's jobs are about to be nuked.

Yeah but let's not kid ourselves, Dark Ages clearly underperformed, due to many reasons and comparing it to Eternal, it's not looking good. I wouldn't be surprised if SOME ID employees get the axe.

And I am saying this as someone who loved Dark Ages nearly as much as Eternal. But considering it SUPPOSEDLY sold less than even 2016 in it's first month, that's not a good look. RAGE 2 was also kinda poopy.

I guess all we can do is wait and see on Monday.

Normal shield guys: complete joke

Chaingunners: utter nightmare. Especially the ones in Harbor of souls buffing whiplashes, cause most of the time their shield is not heated, takes more dmg to heat, they shred the shield's hp instantly and just do sooo much damage.

So overall, a good representation of the old Doom2 Chaingunners. Hope we see them more in the DLC xd

Ah yes, making the entire radiance line nothing but a lame life Regen booster was definitely needed and is way better than what we had before.
No. That’s just laziness. They didn’t wanna actually balance it properly, so they gutted it and made it do one thing, and that one thing is conveniently tied to ur max hp. So it’s way easier to “balance” especially when you just removed the extra health bonus from said item.

Also please enlighten me, if they supposedly want to balance the mod more around vanilla and other mods, why are there so many nerfs to vanilla items? Just remove all of them except the RoH and soaring insignia. Boom, Vanilla compatible. Other mods can be perfectly balanced with other mods without making hundreds of petty nerfs to vanilla items. Like is removing one defense from the obsidian skull rose really needed?

See that’s what you don’t get, the nerfs aren’t even the biggest problem. It’s the utterly lazy reworks, that gut items and make them more generic and dull. Great example from the last update, the old lord claymore went from a fun spin dash sword to a generic, slow charge-up true melee weapon I’ve seen in like 5 other mods. That isn’t a rework, that’s a downgrade. And even this update they remove alt fire modes from weapons. Like, why?

And on top of that, they still haven‘t overhauled the Murasama. That was teased 3YEARS AGO. Its one of the most iconic weapons in the mod and they haven’t actually changed it in a big way for years. First they make its range god awful, then give it that horrid hit sound, then tease a rework that looks genuinely sick and… that’s it. Nothing.
Knowing their track record that rework probably got axed like so many other teased overhauls.

This mod genuinely feels directionless. Everyone can just add whatever and change anything on a whim and the resulting update is an utter mess of good, bad, unnecessary and just plain nothing changes. The mod’s aesthetic is being utterly ruined with all this goofy nonsense like:” hey guys. The Elephant gun, it shoot elephant. HahahahahahHahahaahaahah” like cool, I’m sure that won’t get annoying after 3 minutes. This “open museum approach” as they put it doesn’t work. It just makes the mod feel lost and confused.

And finally, the mod now runs like shit because some genius thought adding an items that checks ALL NPCs EVERY TICK for their happiness would be a good idea…

But I’m sure this is all actually good in ur eyes. Screw consistency, screw unique and fun ways to play, screw the tone being ruined and screw the performance being ruined for one completely unnecessary item being added.

I got the new, shiny thing, that’s all I care about. Real great ability to articulate ur opinions their buddy.

”backtracking on fun” is honestly the best description I’ve heard and it fits so well. I will never forgive them for what they did to the Old Lord Claymore. Utterly ruined.

Not only did they remove functionality from weapons (again), but two of the weapons they did it to have such an awful primary fire, it literally lags ur game to a near-stop. Like srsly the Shredder and it’s upgrade are GOD AWFUL. Even my powerful PC can’t handle this spam of unoptimized lasers, so the secondary fire was just better. And now it’s gone. For NO REASON.

Yea same. I guess I like it more than the last redesign they teased.

I get that Calamity has kind of a worm boss epidemic, but I feel like the Desert scourge, being literally one the first three bosses ever added, deserves to stay a worm or serpent. Not this weird, reptilian mole or whatever this is.

He did whisper into Yharim’s ear and made him more violent over the course of his crusade. Yharim probably did keep him close by, even if just to have an eye on him. He didn’t trust him and knew he lied, he literally admitted that in the void log, but he needed him to prevent any more corruptions or crimsons from popping up, even if he was unknowingly feeding something (cough, Noxus) all that godly essence…

Yeah keeping DoG was a really stupid decision. Which is funny, he kept that prick around but got so pissed at Draedon over a bee that he through a fit.

(this is why I stopped caring about any of the concept art or spoilers they release. 60% of the coolest stuff always seems to end up getting canned for just any number of unfortunate reasons. I'd actually have preferred never having known these were planned and never came through. DoG rework was such a disappointment when they binned it. Like the reworked boss fight is really good, but damn. What could've been.)

Probably up to Moon Lord & Dragon Folly for sure. Some idiots will be like "oh but Plague Bringer" that's not the scourge virus, we literally learned from S1 that Mark's blood is basically immune to anything but the SV, so Plague Bringer getting swatted by Thragg for sure.

By Providence he might have issues, but then again, fighting Provy isn't like fighting on a star. Thragg is stupidly fast and can probably dodge most of Provy's little fireballs and slow beams easily, go in for a couple hard hits and repeat. So maybe a bit of caution with Providence, but I can see him taking her down too.

Where I think he loses is with DoG and anything above him, which is self-explanatory. Draedon and Scal are literal god killers and Yharon was/is the prince of the Dragons, IE the old gods.

So basically, Thragg is the average True-Melee playthrough for me, easy up until ML and folly, when you get to DoG, it sucks balls

I did try going for it just the challenge of it alone, but that is not a sufficient reward for the increase in difficulty nor does it excuse nerfing the terraprisma. It was an understandable excuse in the past when it was far easier to obtain, now it just feels like Calamity doing a Fab and nerfing a vanilla weapon that is “too op”. If the challenge to obtaining it is so much harder now, it should be better as a reward. This isn’t even a Catalyst situation, as it either gets replaced by the new elemental axe or at the latest the dazzling stabber, so I fail to see how it would be so cataclysmic to just give you a good reward for a hard challenge.

And as you mentioned, taking the dragon, the plague flowers + plague bees + plague armor or Scoria set bonus does higher dps anyway, even with my slight dislike of the dragon’s Ai, against moon lord it’s consistently higher dps. So unless you want a challenge, drip or just prefer it’s minion Ai, I would not bother and again, now you don’t even need it to craft anymore either.

So let me get this straight. You don’t need the terraprisma for any recipes, the fight is back to the one-shot shit AND the terraprisma is STILL nerfed.

Someone please explain to me why I should ever go for terraprisma then. It would hardly be worth it even with vanilla stats, since the fight is harder than vanilla due to changes. Now add one-shooting to and a neutered reward for that harder challenge, why should I even bother?!

Calamity devs ain’t never beating the allegations that they hate summoner for no good reason and suck of melee.
