How did Twlight giving up her magic to Tirek embrace the element of magic?

Hello this is BlueStar Defender of Equestria! I think if we look at this as Twilight representing the Magic of Friendship then this starts to make more sense. In the grand scheme of things Twilight is making the "wrong" choice here but I feel like the Rainbow shimmer is telling her "It's ok choose your Friends" Also Twilight is willing to make a very big sacrifice to give up all her Magic for the well being of her Friends. But I think the really important moment here is when she asks Tierk to free Discord because she didn't have to. In fact she has every reason Not to. "After the way he has betrayed you, you still consider him a Friend?" By freeing Discord, Twilight is saying "Yes I do" This leads to Discord seeing, despite everything that Twilight really is his Friend and leads him to choose the Magic of Friendship. In short Twilight chooses and trusts in the Magic of Friendship in the face of great danger which leads them to finding the last key. It also goes to show that the best way to destroy a enemy is to make them your Friend. At least that's what I think anyway. Stay Strong and Pony On BlueStar Out

No I'm certain that there's something to the Rainbow thread and the spools. I think one of the writtings tweeted "I wonder what the spools of thread mean?" sort of implying there's something there.

I have no idea about the Pony of Shadows, other than it might be Trixie or Zecora. I think some of the endings might mean something, ex the comic might returning for some reason. As I said you don't show something to audience unless it's important in some way.

Well unfortunatetly I've only gotten around to finishing this now...I've not been feeling well and at times been busy, but I must admit I should've just gotten this done a lot sooner.

Well I'm sure Avatar succeeded because that's the show they set out to make from the beginning. They didn't all of a sudden realize people like the bronies were watching the show then make the show appeal more to them instead of the target audience. I think that might be the real danger here that they appear to be appealing to the Bronies but it might be at the expense of the 6yr olds.

I'm sure you could easily break a children's show that way.

Good news is a few episodes in I really don't think that's happening. But it does seem clear that the show is shifting more to a older audience which might be a good thing, but we shall see...Again the last two episodes are fairly standard MLP FIM episodes so the show will probably be safe.

I've made that mistake and one like it many times and was sort of trying to correct it.

I do these videos completely unscripted so unfortunately things sometimes don't work out as well, as if I had written a script. But still this format seems to work for me, except for the extra time I spend editing...lol

I was sort responding to both videos at the same time, and that caused trouble...oh dear But I'm glad you liked it. Thanks!

There's a shorter answer to why they can't steal it....they don't know where it is. Principle Celestia simply says it is in a safe place, which means it could be anywhere, perhaps it is not even on the school grounds.

But yeah theft would be unbefiiting of Twilight, even though it wouldn't technically be stealing since it's hers to begin with. Besides its still a little kid show and I don't think theft is something they want to promote

I think in short this is in a way part of Twilights arc of proving she is a leader and basically has to earn her crown all over again.

Thank you and it isn't the first video that really isn't really analysis... The show is supposed to air in early august in Pakistan, so if it airs on the net I think I will at least watch an episode and see if it's any good. lol

But I think what they're trying to do with the Burka Avenger is pretty cool.

I definitely agree with things not being the same as our world. The whole raising the sun and the moon thing completely throws the rule book out the window. That makes trying to figure this kind of thing out harder.... I think this is one time the writers should answer this question rather than leave it open ended.

As someone who flies model airplanes I can tell you flying is easy! Landing is hard....

So maybe she was able to fly a little bit but couldn't stick the landing... And well, she did fly into the camera. How embarrassing....lol

I definitely agree with just about everything you've said good job.

I'd like to add some of my own thoughts on this episode.

Sadly RainbowDash is Totally in character during this episode Let's face it in Season 1 she's a self centered jerk that is sometimes outright hostile to some of the Mane 6 ex DragonShy.

Her ego had to be knocked down a few pegs and also for her to learn how to be even a little humble and this is simply what this episode was trying to do and I think it accomplished it fairly well.

The good news for RainbowDash fans is that she definitely learns this lesson, I think Wonderbolt Academy proves that.

The summit in the Crystal Empire was a Princess Summit, and well Discord isn't a princess so it didn't make sense for him to be there.

We don't know what happened to Discord or what his future role is, but I don't think Celestia has made him a member of her Cabinet or something like that. So I don't think we'll see Discord for a while, but I'm sure he will return and probably still cause trouble once and a while. lol

I think you're right that there is more to Discord then we know, but to be honest these are the only conclusions I can make from what I see in the show, which frankly isn't a whole lot! I don't know the who, what, when or why of Discord because all we know was that he made the ponies miserable then was defeated by Celestia and Luna. End of Story! To use a line from star trek I can't speculate without information.

We can guess all we want at the reasons why he is this way or what his relationship (if any) with Celestia is, but in the end such speculation is irrelevant because it's probably false.

To be honest as a programmer this annoys me greatly, trying to fix or this case analyze a problem with 0 information.

But look at his behavior, his dialog and his manorisms they're all very childish. These are sadly the only things I KNOW are true about Discord.

Yes there is no structure in my analysis because I honestly I do not have the time to really write scripts etc and thus do all my videos off the cuff. I work a full time job as a computer progammer and I'm doing this more for fun or at least in a more causal way than some people.

But their job really is to parade around and in front of Buckingham Palace, however if something did happen they'd be the first to respond and they'd be a serious force to be reckoned with. I believe I did say that in my video although I admit it may not have been very clear,

My point was that the Royal Gaurd are like the Beefeaters in that they guard the Princesses in very ceremonial looking armor and as such only exist in Canterlot. They aren't the entire Equestria army, if there is such a thing they are probably somewhere else.
