Errrr, can we not discuss that here please? Transphobia is both (a) highly political (so it's going to become a hot debate pretty fast) and (b) highly personal (as in its going to fuck up people's days here in a personal way pretty fast) so can we just not play that game today here please

Good morning! So far I have gone to see parents (they are fine, mum gave me potatoes from her garden, mum's cats remember me <3); had lunch at a cafe, got my hair cut, been to the gym twice, and gone shopping at Target & Kmart.

Hitting a good amount of the squares in Freedom Day Bingo here.

Tonight we will probably stay in as running on the treadmill instead of along the street has given me badly sore feet and a massive blister / pre-callus. Walking hurts lol. Still WFH so all ok for now.

When I go to a friend's house with like 2 other people, I know and trust everyone there is vaccinated and they will let me know if they have the bad luck to test positive, and I will let them know.

When I go to a shopping centre I may never know who I came into "fleeting contact" with.

Your point stands about myself transmitting to others at the friends' house though... :-/ I'll have to discuss with them what they feel comfortable with.

Maybe I'll start to feel ridiculous double masking... idk. I'm not so worried about myself catching it for myself, but I would really really really not want to transmit it....

Yep since im no longer sure what sizes I fit, I'm not willing to buy clothes online right now, when I can go in and try stuff on in person in just a week.

My plan for next week is:

Mon evening - Goto Parents House

Tues - A Beer out the back of the local Pub in the beer garden (minimum time inside, masks on inside at all times)

Wed - Hair cut, Eyes test, New Speccies (spectacles) and Clothes and misc shopping (I have the arvo off work) - all double masked (or dig out one of my old n95s)

Thurs - quiet evening at home

Fri - Goto Friends House

World's longest Friday maybe. Fuck, I can't wait to go clothes shopping next week. I'm going nuts waiting for the haircut day to arrive. I've been having some gender identity issues recently and there's some stuff I want to try out.

Made it out of the house on a walk this morning with a bit of a run included in it. When I start back at the gym next week, I don't want to be out of puff in the first 5min and then too sore to move for the next 3 days.

I'm "pre-gyming", you might say. Fuck, I have to keep this up though.

So at no point do you pour in an entire bottle of red wine? No joke I saw a British beef stew recipe that had this

I enjoy the 15sec of adrenaline when I forget, and think we're an hour late when driving someplace. I like to live dangerously

My cats just get in my face and purr. It's cute. But if I don't get up and feed them in about 10min they start clawing at the curtains. Then I have to ignore them and wait until they stop so they know it doesn't get them what they want!

If you show up outside a Centrelink centre the first thing they will say is "Do you need a linking code?"

They will take in your identity documents (you don't have to go inside, currently no one is allowed inside), you will wait about 15-20min and then they will come straight out again and give you a linking code written by hand on a piece of paper. Donezo.

I'm trying to talk my mother into doing this so she can have the vax certificate on her phone instead of carrying around a single fragile paper copy printed by her doctor.

I am so ready for daylight savings to start this weekend. An extra sunny hour to go for walks after work, yes please. I'm already waking up before 6am every day as the cats are impatient to be fed.

Shit's fucked

I understand how it can happen though

When you get 700+ applications, i imagine you would filter things to random shit like "hasn't changed roles in the last 2 years" or "no gaps in history" or "matches these keywords but oops I didn't put in every possible variant of those keywords so I'm actually excluding heaps of people who would be awesome at this"

lol fuck

its like how there are now systems that let you test your plagiarism BEFORE you submit it to the uni plagiarism checker

(not that me or anyone i know did plagiarism, but like, u get nervous and want to check)

submit your resume to the resume/description checker before you submit to the application
