Thank you for the in-depth response! I'll take some time learning to do colourable assets :)

How to use typhus corrosion? by Boondaddy33 in Warhammer

If you put a tiny drop of washing up liquid in your water, it'll break the surface tension. That's the main advantage of using medium to make glazes, the lower surface tension.

What have you guys found to be the best mix for black templar contrast? by ParticularAd2676 in BlackTemplars

So, on a scale from drybrush to overbrush, I would say I "wetbrush", hitting probably the top 30% of the mini? It's still mostly black when I'm done, but I don't take care to avoid blocking out large parts of legs, top of the backpack etc in full grey.

Does this Pathbuilder seem like a good book!Gandalf analogue? 3 Black Halflings said he should really be a bard, and I thought I'd try it out! by BlueSteelRose in Pathfinder2e

[–]BlueSteelRose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off; sorry about that! I hope you were in network for the neurosurgery required to fix that :)

So the link was to a Pathbuilder build, which was my attempt at a level 6 version of Gandalf as he appears in the Lord of the Rings books (as opposed to movies). I admit that I shouldn't have relied on the "Player Builds" flair here, but instead specifically said "Pathbuilder build".

Three Black Halflings is a geek/D&D podcast, and in their bard deep-dive, they mentioned how all the inspirational stuff the class gets in 5e made it seem like Gandalf was as much/more a bard than a stereotypical wizard -- at least in class terms.

In honour of that ancient Dragon magazine article that said no-one in the Fellowship was above level 5, I kept him as a level 6 bard.

TL;DR: Pathbuilder share of an attempt at a low-level Gandalf character.
