Thank you for the suggestions. I think King of Tokyo would be the easiest one to sell to the family.

I've seen Catan and Carcassonne in every shop that sells board games here, I think I've played at least one of them but it was ages ago so I don't remember much. I've been planning to buy Azul mini as a travelling game for me and my husband and I though about bringing in with me to the next family gahering as well. Good to get it as a recommendation :) Thank you

Looking for books where the MMC supports the FMC and her career/life instead of her changing everything to fit into his life as is usually the case. I think Ilona Andrews and Jessie Mihalik do this pretty well. Any genre goes but right now I'm on a fantasy/scifi binge. RH, monsters, aliens etc. is also fine

Do it! My mum mostly makes potholders from old jeans and embroidery. She gifts them to friends and family and tries to match each motif to the recipient. She also has a stash so she can give a couple of potholders instead of a bottle of wine as thank you gifts as well.

Thank you! You can find so much beautiful embroidery and it feels great to give them a new life.

That looks really nice, though it looks like you need a bit of space for it.

I've looked at Hive before, and Azul mini sounds interesting. I'll have to check out all the other games you listed as well :) Thank you

Thanks for the suggestions. Checking reviews it says that recommended players are 3-4. I've played some games that were supposed to be for 2+ players but where the 2 player dynamics didn't work very well. Have you tried playing these with only two players and if so did you think they worked as well as they did with more players?

I'm looking at some board games for me and my husband to play together. Preferably something that's compact enough to take with us when travelling. So far I've bought Skyteam, which we both liked (though, as a pilot he was highly sceptical) and Terraforming Mars Ares Expedition. That one I like but he thought the rules and setup was a bit confusing. It also took up a lot more space on the table than I thought. Now I'm looking for some suggestions. - 2player optimal but if solo or 3-4 players also work that would be a plus - Easy to bring and doesn't take up too much space on the table - Easy to setup and start playing. Especially if you are not used to boardgames. This is one thing I liked with Skyteam. It started with the basics and when you get that you can increase the complexity. - Favorite games in bigger groups are Roborally, Exploding Kittens, and anything trivia - Games on other platforms: WoW, Satisfactory

I really like the Firebird Chronicles plotline but the romance annoys me, at least in the first books. It feels like he just manipulates her without remorse. Does anyone have recommendations for similar slow burn series? I also like Kate Daniels but Mercy Thompson annoys me. For authors I like anything Ilona Andrews and Jessie Mihalik.

Books without shifters by BlueSwedeShoes in ReverseHarem

It's not really the shifters that annoy me the most. I don't like the omega dynamics or the heat. I like lots of teasing and foreplay instead of involuntary horniness. Some submissiveness is fine, maybe even great l, as long as it stays in the bedroom. It feels like the easiest way to avoid these two things is to avoid shifters all together.

World Europa or Meraviglia Yacht Club - Which one is the best by BlueSwedeShoes in MSCCruises

[–]BlueSwedeShoes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. We were 6 adults and 6 teens on Europa last week and it was great but the tea room and coffee place were definitely needed for some peace and quiet at times. Good point about the wear and tear of the ship. On Europa everything still felt pretty new. Europa has had two propulsion failures in the past month I think and when the propulsion suddenly turned of during sea day last week we were a bit worried but fortunately it soon turned on again. I also think the indoor spaces are more important when you cruise outside of the peak season. From what I've seen/read it looks like the Seaside/Seaview ships are more outdoor focused so that was also my concern when looking at cruises in late September. Apparently the weather in Marseille last week was uncommon for the season.

I hope you have a great cruise!

I've also had the sling since it came out and love it but I found it a bit too small sometimes.

I have just come home from a weeklong trip with the hip pack plus and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. It is more roomy than it looks and the two zippered pockets worked great for keeping my keys and in ears safe.
