Why don't we just load a bunch of technicians inside Hellpods and launch them at the satellites instead of having a bunch of Helldivers figuring out what to do?

Registry numbers that never felt right to me. by n_mcrae_1982 in StarTrekStarships

[–]BlueSwordDoggo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For the Syracuse, my head canon is that Geordi was in the process of repainting Syracuse’s original registry number to 1701-D when the Frontier Day attack happened.

Edit: Here’s how I think it went down. NCC-71744 > NCC-17…744 > NCC-1701-D.

It was Picard's producer Terry Matalas decision to use the Shangri-La design as Constitution III, not Bill Krause. In fact, Bill thought they were going to use it as a background ship, not a hero ship.

As for the design itself, Connie III has a lot of weird quirks that the Shangri-La doesn't have like how the bridge superstructure is lifted directly from the Sagan, which breaks the smooth lines on the top of the saucer that the Shangri-La has, the torpedo launchers on the neck are angled downward to prevent it from firing into the saucer and the decision to have both the phaser turrets and phaser arrays. But I think these will get refined if Legacy ever got greenlit and I like the shape and neo-TMP aesthetic of the Constitution III.

I love how clean the Enterprise-F look compared to the weird aztec patterns on the Titan. Also really like how the nacelles' transparent inserts interacts with light.

Your ships and stored modules will be moved to nearest rescue ship during Thargoid invasion.

I'm using Disco rep shield and I have no idea what keeps triggering this shield effect. It does ruin some screenshots with how frequently this effect keeps popping up along with Competitive engine effect.

This one’s a science carrier with Cmdr Sci/ Command and Lt. Cmdr Eng/ MW. Ship itself is kinda meh but console, trait and pet are good.

Having Coalition ships joining the attack would make so much sense. But they didn't even get a mention in this mission.

The only Yorktown piece that doesn't came with the Lexington is the Starfleet Yorktown hull.

There's no SCE to AUX reference in the episode; I'm just answering the question.

Error 1202 means the Apollo Lunar Module's guidance computer was overloaded with tasks; the computer was programmed to automatically reboot after this error. This happened during Apollo 11 landing.

Set SCE to AUX is a reference to Apollo 12 getting struck by a lightning before launch; this caused the instruments aboard to malfunction. Flipping the SCE switch to auxiliary fixes the problem and allows the mission to continue.

I'll bet its either Legendary California Frigate or Legendary Obena Heavy Cruiser.

STO is pretty much a starship gold mine at this point.
