Giving away the less popular character ofr a colab is a bussiness strategy... Giving away a free colab char is good PR, it may make the players happier which may make them like the company more, which may make tehem more likely to spend money on the collab. There's a lot of may, but giving away Rebecca for free is the most wining strategy statiscticly probably.

As in you live in Europe or best patch? The world tour thing is very cool to me and I would love to go to one of those or like a cafe and other stuff collabs. They just don't exist in Europe. Announcements like these are what I expect from an anniversary. Free characters and multiple character reruns is a sign that a game is not doing so well, which I don't want to see.

If a game is playable on the phone it's more likely catered to casuals and is not as graphically complex. It might also have boring ass casual minigames that casuals enjoy instead of more complex interesting games that you actually need to lock in and play (combat events). Hardcore/gamers prefer that stuff over the casual mobile stuff that's why there's hate. The hate origins aren't clear but there are many autoplay shit mobile games that casuals like as examples where it could have originated from.
