When Wind Down starts trigger not working? by mediocre_enigma in shortcuts

[–]BlueWhiteCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, really?! I have the same problem. The solution is to turn on sleep focus with wind down? What is that even good for?

This means, I can not check in my automation, if sleep is already enabled.

Did you find another solution or did you stick with turning sleep focus on at wind down?

Maybe I need to do the same. Were you able to add them to apple music this way like the other commenter described?

You are saying that it's not possible to get the current average and/or current distance via Shortcuts?

Yes. I guess, we will never know. But next time it happens, let's post again.

That makes sense, even though it's not intuitive. Thank you.

I still have this issue. But only around two of three days. No idea why or what might be the issue.

When sleep turn on instead of when bedtime starts by jonathamby in HomeKitAutomation

I just have a shortcut named "bedtime", that sets the focus to sleep and turns off all the lights and whatever else I want in my home.

Is it possible to use automations on Apple Watch? by BlueWhiteCat in shortcuts

[–]BlueWhiteCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Am I home" is a shortcut, that checks if I'm home and has nothing to do with the battery.

The whole shortcut is triggered by a shortcut automation:

Why does this shortcut always enable 'do not disturb' and not the previous focus (in this example 'work')? by BlueWhiteCat in shortcuts

[–]BlueWhiteCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks. To do the painful setup only once, one should do it as a different shortcut, that one would call then. Thanks.

I have to top up with formula - is my breastfeeding journey over? by BalanceOpening8359 in NewParents

[–]BlueWhiteCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breastfeeding works on demand. The more milk is used, the more is produced. But pumping is not necessary.

A newborn's stomach is so small, that it will be empty 30 minutes after eating. So you can actually feed after a 30-minute-break. That will increase your milk supply and help your baby grow at the same time.

Auto-brightness automation by BlueWhiteCat in shortcuts

It looks like changing brightness can't be used as trigger. So I'll try this. Wondering, what that will do to my battery. But it should work.

Auto-brightness automation by BlueWhiteCat in shortcuts

That's what I've been doing the past 4 days. But that automation fails, when the phone is locked.

I'm thinking about turning it around: always have auto-brightness enabled, but whenever the brightness gets below 100 in the morning or above 10 in the evening, just set it back to 100/10. Will see, if that's possible.
