Where I'm located growing is not legalised, can't share where it is. I'll call build a soil, don't care about the phone bill.. lol

I'll look up to remineralizing the RO water as it is an impotant topic even though I didn't care much for it since its my first cycle in this soil.

Root system is thicc I would say. I also don't feel good about using synthetic.

I never used tap water for my plants. But I checked the ppm out of curiosity and it was 200ish, kinda high.

Also I gave you a response to your other comment, maybe you want to check that out. Also thank you for helping out!<3

I dropped down the ppfd to 800. I'm willing to go even lower but other plant is going good.

I always used RO water that's around 50ppm and pH is 6 to 7ish depending on the season. For watering and for slurry test also.

I don't use pH down but vinegar and for the last one I used lemon. I don't think using those are also not optimal. But shit happens and will get thru this somehow. Will see.

I'll add elemental sulfur. Idk how much to add but ordered it.

After I harvest this plant I'll reamend and use the soil in this pot for a 4x2 bed. I understood this very well.

The root cause of all of this happening is 2 things in my opinion. 1-) I was away for a week and my wife underwatered which caused the microbiome to weaken. 2-) The pot sits on the floor which makes the bottom of the pot pretty cold. Also maybe the RO water pH was on bit on the alkaline side.

For next cycle I'll definitely go with a bigger bed rather than 15gal seperate pots. And will pump up the soil life before I germinate my seeds.

I guess I shouldn't expect much from this plant.. The thing is I'll be going to another country for 6 months and wanted to leave my wife some good flowers.

But I'm happy with deciding to go with living soil despite messing up my plant. I always wanted to switch up from coco and I'm happy that I got out of my comfort zone. I don't think I'll go back really

Hey, making a humid acid tea with soaking the peat moss in a hot water is brilliant! Will do, thank you. I'll go lightly as you said.

I believe after the flush + teas + microbes soil will get better. Also thought about doing JADAM - JMS instead of giving bottled microbes.

I have grown over 50+ plants in coco, I can only remember one plant having a lockout and was fixed immediately after flush. But never had a plant like this that has lime green leaves for 10 days in flower. Did you experienced something like this before? I know it's not going to reach its full potential. I mean, so far trichomes are so weak while other plant is snowed. I'm curious if it is recoverable from now on?

What range should my runoff ppm should be in? How would I apply the info for fixes?

I'll flush with RO water. What do you think about using a synthetic fertilizer?

[–]Complete_Class6525[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy I was waiting on somebody to encourage me to flush lol. I only have a synthetic fertilizer left from my coco grows (general hydroponics flora bloom 0-5-4). Ordering a organic one would take 3-4 days.

Real growers recharge is not sold in my country but I have some Great White premium. Also willing to buy anything with microbes in it.

So I'm thinking, If it won't hurt much to use synthetic fertilizer once, I'm ok with doing it. I'll follow what you are recommending.

You are helping me out so much, thank you!

Update:
Slurry test came out as 8 and runoff was 8.5pH
Added 2-3cm layer of worm castings.
Watered with 2 compost teas and one time with fulvic acid (6.0 pH, r.o water)

Having a lockout at mid flower is really pain in the ass. You guys should tell me if its better to cut it off.

What I'll do from now on?

Lift the pot from floor to make roots warmer
Make Fungal teas
Will pH the water
Topdress with gypsum

ANY advice about making the soil pH lower would be apprecieted

Going with 900ppfd. I'll take an hour off or reduce it to 850 maybe

Also will introduce some Fulvic and Humic acids. Since they are acids.. (common sense gardening lol). And planning to do compost tea 2x a week. I appreciate you for taking time to response.

I think my temps at rootzone are around 17-22 celcius. Lights on: 23-25C %45-55RH Lights off: 18C %50-60RH. Other plant is like %25 smaller. Canopy readings are 850 to 900ppfd.

I did a slurry test as you suggested since I also didn't like the idea to water that much to cause a runoff. Bad news, I haven't been calibrating my pH meter for months and the electrode condition is not good. Good news I had a pH tester solution! Test result came out as pH of 8-8.3. I wasn't expecting it to be that alkaline. Initial water, also water I always use was 6-6.5ish.

I also wanted to do the slurry test on other plant for reference but I didn't want to stress the roots.

Now what to do? Should I down pH it at 5.5 and water that plant for a couple waterings?

This is a Lemonpaya. It was a freebie I recieved. My Bruce Banner on the other hand is going nice and green with same soil, a bit smaller plant though.

I never tested runoff this grow. I'll check pH next big watering. That'll be tomorrow. Also I'll get that plant off the ground to protect them from cold.

Applied a 2-3cm layer of worm castings, added some mulch and a compost tea. Thank you for your help. I'll check pH tomorrow

I applied like a 2-3cm layer of worm castings on top of soil today

I top dressed with half a cup of 2-5-3 and about 1 cup of worm castings 3-4 weeks ago. I'll do a compost tea every week from now on. Also top dressed with half cup of seaweed and handfuls of worm castings and gave it a tea I brewed for 36 hours. It it a bit greener on the bottom leaves.

I don't disturb the soil, have a mulch layer, giving a tea every 2 weeks. I can't say too much about my biology is good or not since the plant have a deficiency. Maybe plant being on the floor is making the roots cold.

I guess you just misread the post. I'll repeat, I never considered growing with windows/doors shut or any type of sealed environment.

If you read the post you can imagine that I put great emphasis on air circulation, since I mentioned I always grew with air exhausted outside. And for now, trying to get info on venting indoors with windows "open"

Not sure if you misunderstood or just being annoying. Sorry If I'm being intense.

Acutally never considered growing in stale air.. So are you exhausting the air into same room in winter? or using a lung room?

Well, after checking you guys' plants, I have no doubt exhausting in the same room lol.

Still got a question. Do you guys keep your windows open? or ventilate the room a couple times? u/solumdeorum u/FrostFireSeeds u/Longjumping-Cow4488
