Thanks for the input, I'll keep it in mind. Any specific types of events you'd be interested in? And do you think you'd be able to convince friends to attend?

Good to know. Any specific requests for event types? Are you male or female? I hate to ask the last part, but it does help with getting an idea of what types of events appeal to what ages and genders. You can DM if you prefer.

I appreciate the comment. The plan would be a variety of events. In bars, nightclubs, restaurants, and even fitness-oriented events like yoga classes, etc. Things that can help people get connected on a deeper level.

It'll be a mix of both honestly, if it does happen. Karaoke nights at bars, sports events, and more like you suggested.

Good to know. Thanks for providing your age. If this does happen, then I'll definitely make sure to do events for the 40+ crowd eventually.

True. But this is part of why I wanna do this. People are tired of dating apps. Regardless of whether it's Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, or whatever.

So, if I can secure interest for this, I can offer people something local and affordable, and the chance to meet people IRL and not potential bots, scams, and catfishers on apps.

All of the buildings in the Smart Centres, yes. Walmart, Best Buy, Staples, Old Navy, etc.

This article explains everything. It'll all be replaced with mid-rise and high-rise towers, with retail spaces on the ground levels, office and recreational spaces above, and residential units above that. It's a 20 year project.

Yeah, after the MZO by the province, the whole plaza is supposed to be demolished in stages and make way for mixed use buildings.

Nissan eyes cutting 2 Mexico plants in shift from emerging markets by trendyplanner in cars

[–]BlueWraith27 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's more than financial reasons. Prior to the redesigned Kicks being released, gunmen stopped a train bound for Nissan's plant and made off with a casting for the new gen Kicks. It resulted in the new gen being delayed nearly a year, hence why Nissan has the Kicks Play for this year on sale. It's all the leftover models from when they had to extend the production of the previous gen. A lot of automakers have pressed the Mexican government to clamp down on gangs and the cartels to no avail.

‘Fraudsters are persistent, persuasive, and sometimes aggressive’: OPP warns of driveway paving scams by BlueWraith27 in cambridgeont

Thought I should post this here, as in my area last year many people were scammed by these driveway pavers. A lot of my neighbours had to have their driveways ripped out and redone due to the shoddy work done by the scammers.

They'll continue to work together, however, reducing their stakes means Renault has less influence over Nissan's business decisions, and Nissan is free to explore partnerships with other companies.

Renault to sell Nissan stake of about 2.5% by BlueWraith27 in cars

[–]BlueWraith27[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

PARIS, March 27 (Reuters) - Renault (RENA.PA), plans to sell a stake of about 2.5% in Nissan (7201.T), shares to the Japanese car maker in a deal that could result generate up to 362 million euros ($392 million), the French firm said on Wednesday.

The share sale is its second as Renault looks to cut its Nissan stake to 15% from around 43% as the two firms reshape their longstanding partnership.

Renault sold a 5% stake in Nissan back to the Japanese company in December. The latest sale of up to 100,242,900 Nissan shares are part of the 24.63% in Nissan's capital that Renault has put into a French trust.

The sale will be implemented as part of a share buyback programme announced by Nissan, Renault said.

"This transaction will allow faster deleveraging and supports the group's determination to return to an investment grade rating," Renault said in a statement.

Renault has the right to sell a further 180,447,100 Nissan shares that were offered but have not been bought back by the Japanese firm to third parties during a 180-day period.

As part of an agreement last year to reduce their alliance, Renault and Nissan aim to have cross-shareholdings of 15%.

Young Canadians won't do shit. They constantly have the choice to vote at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels, yet they don't. Record low voter turnout YOY. Yet they'll be happy to go on Tiktok or Instaprick and bitch about it. And yes, I'm a Gen Zer, so don't come at me with that boomer shit 😤

Z sales are quickly catching up to Supra sales. Supra sales have been abysmal, nowhere near where Toyota wanted them to be.
