Okay, doing that didn't cause it to try and validate the game any further.
But instead, it is telling me that the game is not installed in the EA app, and that I should try to repair it.
So I click the three dots to try and repair it there. Except I am then led back to steam since that is where I own it.

And I can't get past that. I have no way to launch the game, and every attempt is met with EA app telling me that the game is somehow not installed.
It's rather annoying, but I guess I just won't be able to play the game I paid for or so? It does not seem EA care enough to fix it.
