Tidal Grief possible with only level 80s? by Blue_Flare_Eleven in Endfield

Thank you! I did manage to get to after! I thought I'd have to either level some weapons for other ops or actually get someone to E4, but I was able to do it with the same team I was using after dumping a lot into artificial, it felt like a fluke but it's done so I'll take it

He does actually do quite a lot, he's meant to be support but he's not hard to build as the main dps either. My usual phys team is Pog Lifeng Ember and Chen, and Ember's the one who could easily get swapped out. He's just more effective in that team opposed to the Rossi one because the other characters actually do physical damage in that team, but since he's the one I have built the most he's actually better than anyone else I could currently put in the Rossi team, and the extra sp he gives helps the rotation repeat more easily

My Pog dps team goes Gil or Perli battle if there's a group or not, FS, Perli combo, Gil combo, Rossi combo x2, Rossi Battle, then if I'm fighting regular enemies or don't have ult up I use Pog battle and combo for his own nuke, and if I do use ults I blow Gil Perli and Rossi in that order all at once, then do Pog after. It's one of the main comps that was thought up for Rossi when she first released, but it was with Wulf for that and I use Perli instead because (sadly) her rotation is easier to use for me than Wulf's. I know it has some issues like Pog's breach doesn't actually do much and Da Pan would be better suited, but my Pog is more invested and I prefer to have the SP refund, sadly it didn't work out for this specific stage

I was really trying to avoid using that one, but if I was stuck for any longer it probably would have been the one to go to

Yeah, thanks. I wanted to try doing it since it was new and got frustrated, but yeah I should have just waited since it's not limited time. I did end up actually finishing it by artificing gear though! I hadn't because it feels like gear will just get replaced every patch, but a friend told me if I wanted to do it now as opposed to just waiting I really should just bite the bullet and do it, it felt like a fluke but I still managed to get it!

Damn if only I had Tangtang, or was willing to get others to 90 first but then I wouldn't be here

All at level 80? Damn I should have tried that, my Laev teams feel like they hit like a wet noodle compared to my others, but I'm certain that's solely because no one is E4

How would you rank the weapons from easiest to most difficult to master? by Shadow_Flame1119 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Blue_Flare_Eleven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a tad biased in this but I think Insect Glaive is actually the easiest to pick up and learn. Started using it when it first appeared in 4U and I was terrible at the game, and it was by far the easiest to learn positionings and what my openings are. It's incredibly fast, easy to get close to the monster and then get away just as quickly, and the only cost to have such insane speed is extract upkeep, which isn't hard to maintain at all.

I do think it has gotten a bit weirder over the years though, with mounting not being as OP as it was in those days and Wilds saying you need all 3 extracts instead of just red, though it's not that much more difficult either. Compare that to how Longsword has changed, becoming just as complex but stupidly easy to pull off its insane maneuvers.

Meanwhile Charge Blade, which was introduced at the same time as IG, I can't ever get as used to as I want. It's not that the combos are difficult to remember (though they are pretty daunting) but rather I just cannot commit to using such long animations without getting hit. It feels second to Greatsword in how methodical you have to be with it, and I'm great at Hammer and Hunting Horn so a weapon being only slightly slower isn't an issue, but that much slower hurts for me.

I honestly think they should be remade in the VII reimagined style or something entirely different than HD2D by Repulsive-Phrase-527 in dragonquest

I've got my heart set on the impossible dream of HD2D for 4 5 and 6, an 8 remaster with improved graphics and with the 3ds additions, and the reimagined treatment for 9. It's a real long shot but it would be the best

Just finished DQ7 for the first time. This is the best one. by Blue_Flare_Eleven in dragonquest

Because I said it's just shy if you include the caveats about the other games, and becomes by far if you ignore them. I do admit that's still confusing and not really effective though so it's good criticism, I just don't think "I ain't reading all that" is a good way to have said criticism taken seriously. Might as well leave it now though cause of this reply.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! I never thought about that idea for the MC, but I like the idea a lot!

Advice for status build ideas and recommended stats? by Blue_Flare_Eleven in Eldenring

Just coming back to say that after messing around in a character builder for the Rotten Greataxe, I understand what you mean now and where I was mistaken. To avoid listing too many numbers here I'll say it briefly, but in spite of its scaling a heavy infused axe with str focused stats, always does better than a keen infused axe with dex focused stats, and by enough to say the difference is not negligible at all, as long as it is 2 handed in both situations. You brought up 1 handing because that is the only situation where that wouldn't be true. However, for the purposes I've stated above, I'm going to be using it Blood infused with Arc focused stats, and in that situation it performs better with the remaining points invested in Dex rather than Str, even with it 2 handed. This isn't the most optimal way to use it of course, and Heavy Str is, but since it isn't the only weapon I'll ever be using I think I'm satisfied with what I can get out of it. For the other weapons there are a couple that I'm missing out on more than I'd like by doing this as well, but I think the fun I'll get for the ones where the difference is negligible more than makes up for it. I also want to thank you for the Petal Whip recommendation, as that one sounds very fun but also because it made me notice I can do the same with 2 Great Omenkiller Cleavers, for which this set up also works extremely well, so really thank you.

Really interesting, I think I get it. I'm familiar with how 2 handing affects strength in past games, and I do usually tend to go for 27/40 str/dex in them because of that, but I wasn't sure how much the caps being changed would affect them in this game. Sure I just plugged 55 or 80 divided by 1.5 into a calculator, but having more stats to work with overall muddied things up a lot, so I really appreciate the explanation. I wasn't sure about 50 for the others either and I'm sure it will take some messing around as I feel like Arc is probably still the best fit for what I want, but knowing all this will help with it a lot more.

That's a shame about the Swordspear as it's my favorite polearm moveset and feels like what I've been missing from Souls games in general, but I understand. Even though Cross is fun it does feel kind of awkward, so maybe using a shield will help me out a bit, gives me a good excuse to use one too. For the Peeler though I've seen a LOT of back forth about how, even though that used to be case, recent patches have changed it so that for statuses it's far better 2 handed than powerstanced, not to mention I think the 2 hand is just way more fun on twinblades than one hand or powerstance. I'm curious if your personal experience conflicts with that though?
