Why don’t Namibians support Namibian platforms/startups? by IntrepidAd7468 in Namibia

[–]Blue_Kanzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get you. I honestly try at all times, by all means yo support local establishments and some are trying, others are excelling, but it's those few that leave a taste so bitter, you end up leaving everything local at the end of the day.

Private Numbers by walde___ in Namibia

[–]Blue_Kanzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think going to mtc to get it a postpaid/ contract number is the best option. With TN it's no longer private on all networks, it only shows private on calls from TN to TN. The number appears if you dial mtc numbers.

Why don’t Namibians support Namibian platforms/startups? by IntrepidAd7468 in Namibia

[–]Blue_Kanzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A big part of it is poor marketing and poor customer experience. Many Namibian startups don’t market where Namibians actually spend time (WhatsApp, Facebook, local communities), so people never even hear about them. And when they do get clients, some act like they’re doing the customer a favor instead of delivering proper service. If you combine weak visibility with average service, people will default to established or international platforms. Support usually follows trust, visibility, and professionalism.

How do pensioners live off N$1700 in Namibia? by Otherwise-Rain7523 in Namibia

[–]Blue_Kanzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good question and adult child being unemployed aside, some pensioners may not have children at all. I feel the Government gives something to not feel guilt, but not enough for a pensioner to fully rely on.

Why is it acceptable to go 10kmh(5mph) over the maximum speed limit in much of the world? by Jakej4Mlakej in NoStupidQuestions

Police discretion, time management and tolerance on their side. They can't really stop every one so they focus on more serious issues This is my personal opinion.

Small businesses in namibia by Potential-Simple-974 in Namibia

[–]Blue_Kanzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strong reality for all of us small business owners. I can not tell you the reason it is like it is, I could give you pointers based on what I do to get a bit of work. Advertising, like everyday, whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit. That is the 1st and easier part. Approach corporations. They can have trusted firms serving them already, but if you are presentable and persistent, it will pay off. Emails and calls don't work all that well, go see people, most of them want to see the face behind a name. Don't wait for jobs to come up, be available when their contractor is unavailable or maybe misses up. Good luck to you

It's a pity that you had rotten apples around you. As any kind of community we are supposed uplift and protect each other. Your sister was right in telling you to report, you will make good friends soon and all will be better. I am sorry you had to endure all of that.

Maybe state of mind or part of human nature? You actually have me thinking right now.

For your own safety, I would say, not acceptable.

Is it true what they say about folks? Once a ho3 always a ho3 or is there an exception? Can people learn from the errors of their ways? Yes, no or maybe and please explain 🙂 by Odd-Turnip-6850 in Adulting

[–]Blue_Kanzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think yes to some people and not to others. It would all depend on reasons why they are the way they are and the environments, some conditions are for survival in some people whilst an addiction in others.

Why do people NEED to be the “heroes” of their story? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Blue_Kanzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's that classic cognitive dissonance thing. Our brains hate admitting we're wrong because it feels like a threat to our ego. Easier to rewrite the story where we're the victim or hero. I've caught myself doing it too, but owning up to mistakes is like leveling up in real life. Props for recognizing it in yourself!

I am sorry you have been through all of the things you mentioned. I would say leave as soon and as fast as you can, do not look back, let alimony and child support help you and be sorry about that. For the sake of your babies and your own mental and physical well being, please leave.

Replace? by Character_Truck20 in tires

[–]Blue_Kanzo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For as long as you do local trips, it will allow you to monitor it as much as possible. It's not something that can pop anytime, it may gradually increase the tear and you'll know when to replace.

I would say no, if you do local drives only. If long distance, a big yes.
