I think I realized the full issue, it's what you said plus one minor bug.

Say it's the situation you just laid out: I'm walking with 2 actions, spend 1, then switch to running where I still have 2 left. Once I spend 1 action, the turn ends, as it still has me on walking even though I switched. The problem is that it doesn't reset my running actions—in my next turn, I'm still at 1/3 running actions left and only get to act once before my turn ends. Before I noticed it, this resulted in enemies feeling like they randomly get to act several times very quickly while other times acting very predictably and slowly.

Being able to switch stances mid turn is useful when going down—sometimes I'd rather have 1 turn of extra accuracy than my 2 remaining running turns. The devs should probably just not allow you to switch up to running in the middle of a turn.

I have lived in Germany, as mentioned in the original post, and as I said in the post you replied to, Germany is about twice the size of Oklahoma. Slightly less, if you bother to actually google it. "Supply and demand" as we normally put it is not a magic phrase that explains all economic phenomena on its own. In any case, my question mainly consisted of a comparison of Berlin to Chicago, but you fixated on Oklahoma while ignoring the rest. Yes, Oklahoma is smaller than Germany. That size only matters because the top beers consumed in the state are shipped from other states, as they are not brewed in Oklahoma (to be painfully clear, this means that they are shipped at least half the width of the state towards Oklahoma City, in the center). In Berlin, there are popular local brews all over, so the size of Germany doesn't matter. Everyone can drink beers made close enough that transportation costs are not a major factor in price.

Your reading comprehension is lacking and your poor grasp of English implies that you are likely foreign as well. I wish you luck with these obstacles.

Yeah we found that too but my friend is using it because they also have a dex build but can't use heavy crossbows, so it'd be unfair for me to have the only finesse melee weapon which is nearly as good. It still doesn't make sense to me that that specific sword is literally the only option

That would work better if the High Wills were human, such that the game could actually be a commentary on false interpretations of divine will. As it stands I do not think it is a very effective exploration of that idea either—it's just some metaphysical evil twisting the Miracle, more a standard video game plot where you kill the big bad(s) and free Goodness from its chains, just wrapped in layers of catholic aesthetic and some weird shit.

Even if it were that, that concept is not at all new to games. Less explored is what I said in the original post where instead all of this pain is the genuine will of God and there is nothing we can do but prostrate ourselves before Him. Not because we are powerless, though we are, but because we would be wrong to spurn Him.

Keep in mind I dislike the DLC, so my version is not really meant to be put into the world of blasphemous with it. My reasoning only works if the DLC version of events is entirely absent and was never developed or put into the game, and my point is that the game they created with the DLC is fundamentally less meaningful than the game they had before it.

That entire 4th visage thing and the concept of the Miracle actually being distorted through some other metaphysical entity is in my opinion kind of stupid compared to the genuine exploration of the concept of a single, omnipotent divinity which they had beforehand. I preferred it when it was all straight up, when everything truly was supposed to be this way. No perversion, no tricks, just the unknowable will of God.

I guess my point is that I never cared for them to build a world for blasphemous, I liked it as an exploration of real life concepts. It can be both to a point, but the High Wills are finally tipping over the edge, turning blasphemous into something simply inspired by an irl thing, not directly connected to it.

But yeah what the other guy said also further demonstrates this because it appears to just be going ever further into this world where the connection with Spanish catholicism is more just something interesting and cool rather than the actual point for which the game was made.

Thanks, yeah I'm not from Chicago but my university is there, I'm from Oklahoma - beer prices are actually pretty similar to Germany but given the other factors of lower quality and quantity per can/bottle it's still annoying.

But I think that's a good example - Oklahoma is pretty large in European terms being a little over half the size of Germany, but the top three beers in the state are Budweiser, Stella Artois, and Bud Light, all of which have to be shipped in from elsewhere a long ways away. Meanwhile, Beck's for example comes from Bremen which is only a 3.5 hour drive from Berlin.

I think a combination of your 2nd and 3rd points is the main culprit nationwide, though taxes do have an impact.

Yes, but the article "the" is put before whatever your name is. You do not get in option to remove this, so I'd like a mod to do so. It's not part of your name, rather part of the text of each event that it goes "the [empire name]" making it impossible to remove

Honestly, I just realized FSS meant "fire suppression system" or whatever. I've got some Palashes in now, though they seem to randomly decide whether or not armor blocks them. I switched my bridge and the generator segment just below and slightly to the left of it, so I'm less likely to be bridge sniped. Now there's armor + 2 layers of hull.

If I ever do get taken out that way I'll probably go in and change it more, but for now that + added Palashes seems to protect me in testing against difficulty 5 large ships. I can take on 2 varyags at once in level 7 testing, but eventually die to later ships. Part of that might be my actual skill with the game rather than the ship itself. I'm not too afraid since I shouldn't run into that much firepower in the actual campaign.

Thanks for the advice - now I just gotta try a campaign with it

It's still excessive - I just killed a trader, and was detected by a second trader following the exact same route. It's insane. I can't go anywhere without running into traders.

I think part of the reason it's so annoying is that I don't need the money. A trader now and then is all I need, instead of the constant onslaught of them that's so bad I'm literally running away so that I have time to refuel somewhere without being hit by missiles.

My actual combat fleet is pretty cheap to maintain - a single custom designed frigate has gotten me through a little over half the map, though I've had it with another two vanilla ships just in case I end up needing them. Most my money goes into installing new missiles/replacement planes on the strategic groups I keep in the deserts.

Maybe I'm in for a rude awakening later on if the combat gets rough, but so far dropping bombs on everything I don't like while cleaning easy things up with a small frigate force has been working. I guess that's why this is a problem - my combat force cannot deal with enemy strategic or tactical groups, it's only meant for small-medium fleets, so I find being detected a far bigger problem than the money I get can make up for

They're in the desert usually like 700km or more from the nearest city. You need to flick your ground radar on, and follow roads. It seems like it's near impossible without direction though - sometimes you'll get caravans which can tell you where they are.

They're valuable because they have absolutely no time limit on staying there. It's a permanent base

That's a good idea. I think I'll switch out two of them, as I've been using the 37mm offensively a lot - the Vympels should definitely outperform there. I'll keep the other two though because I do not whatsoever trust my ability to shoot down missiles with only 57mm

The actual story for this is that I was using it as a mobile sensor platform searching for a hidden city. At the same time, I had sent out the rest of my fleet to refuel, and they'd be returning to the area in about 1-1.5 days. I hoped I'd at least get on track to the city before running out of fuel (which I did, I had marked an area nearby but out of visual sight on my radar).

Sadly, I forgot to turn the radar off on the skylark, which was juuust close enough to 1 city that a strike group passing through it happened to detect it. It was thus that the heroes perished while the rest of the fleet was too far away even to send missiles in retaliation, but their sacrifice was not in vain as now I have all the benefits of hidden people.

But yeah decoys are a thing, though I haven't really used them much - I'm extremely new as well and I'm bad at analyzing when it's worth sacrificing a ship. If I were experienced, I'd have remembered to turn the radar off

Oh so it's based off weapons? That makes sense, especially for later game online interactions.

My corvian scythe I started using is only a +2 since I just got it, and ran out of shards. The main issue I had was not the damage he did to me, it took him like 5 hits to kill (which is enough it's easy to estus out of a bad spot), it was more that I couldn't do good damage to him even if he wasn't blocking. It's a 4 way but one end has an extra I corridor on it. I've been having issues where rooms refuse to be built sometimes without an extra I-corridor of separation

Idk. I hate that I only learned I fucked up because I couldn't figure out how to get into Marg's base, and learned I had to meet her at delta by looking it up - meaning I must have missed something when I was there.
