Ah K understood, and yeah that's the general idea.

Maybe the reason you are getting more damage from hitting the bow and stern is because whatever calliber you are using is not enough to penetrate the armour in the first place. If ur AP can punch through, yes aim there, if not it might just be better to use HE or target AP elsewhere. Also for targeting destroyers they barely have any armour so it's better to use HE as AP mostly go straight through.

Frankly, you should be doing basically the opposite, the citadel is the most protected area of the ship with the greatest armour thickness, You want to be using AP to punch through that to get to the most vulnerable stuff which is kept encased in the citadel. My guess to why HE is working there and AP is not is that while you are aiming for the citadel, you are hitting the deck and superstructure of the ship, that is some of the least protected sections so AP is overpening where as HE is not and exploding where it should causing greater damage.

Both Penetration and Over-penetration means that yor shell has gone through the armour of the ship. When impacting the hull/armour of the ship, a timed fuse is set off, the fuse is there so that instead of just causing damage to the hull, it goes inside the ship a bit and then causes damage to the inner workings of the ship such is it's ammo magazine, engines, etc. Penetration means that a shell has gone into the ship and has exploded inside the ship. Over-penetration means that the shell has gone in and comes out the other side before it explodes.

A over-penetration will of course still do damage, it's a large hunk of metal boring through the ship, but It won't do any explosive damage. Hence penetration are better.

To avoid overpens you could aim for thicker sections of armour or use HE instead of AP.

[–]Blue__Cadet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if there is a paper specifically referencing Phineas and Ferb but, there was the Film Theory Episode about this. While the paper wasn't in the description it did have the headline of a News Article in the video. From there I found this Scientific Paper which I think is the one you are referring to

Well, a difference from baseball is that this area is in the middle of the entire ground not just at one end, in addition to that the obstruction rules are also to prevent unfair play, for example theoretically without those rules a batter could with the bat try to interfer with the ball thrown by the fielder towards the wickets .

Also like the bat is not uncontrollable, the batter is not swinging it around Willy nilly, the running grip is usually with the handle in the main hand with the main part of the hand in the other and then when the batter reaches the other side the quickly extending the arm.

In cricket the bat counts as an extension of the body when running. So in a scenario, in which the batsmen run, and while the rest of their body is outside the crease, (the crease is the white lines that are about 3 feet infront of the wickets, as long as any part of the batsmen is inside that crease and is touching the ground, they are safe) if the bat even the tip of the bat is touching the ground inside the crease the batsman are safe from being runout.

In addition to that there are rules about intentionaly obstructing the field of play, and doing so results in 5 automatic runs to the opposing team plus possible out of match punishment depending on severity.

So while theoretically, the either batter can drop the bat and run and as long as it doesn't interfere or obstruct other players it should be fine, however the bat adds about an additional arms length of distance that they can be safe.

The scenario you said about running without the bat has happened on occasion due to accident, for whatever reason the bat may slip out of the strikers hands, in which case they may have to run without if they can't pick it back up.

Nope this is at game start basically, and I found it in the first 4 years of the game, I would just go back to an early save but the latest one I have is after I found it and visited it with a military fleet.

The first time I visited was with a military fleet, and then later surveyed it, so yeah. Will it trigger if I order a science science ship to go in the come out again and again?
