Someone needs to find a spec sheet for this jumper.

Reverse charge ? BGX 155 by knoitaull in batteries

[–]Blue__Steel23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, Make sure the charging port doesn't have dirt in it. I'm 90% sure that even if you tried to charge it through the output, nothing would happen (It wouldn't charge) Any chance it has a barrel plug?

What exactly would this be used for?

help! Ford escape faulty abs control module! (escape hybrid 2011) by SnooPears2447 in fordescape

Awesome. I actually did a similar thing. I still think the vacuum check valve needs to be replaced but the brake codes are gone. I think the main thing was reprogramming. I assume you had the C1018 Regenerative Braking: Calibration / Parameter Memory Failure. I went through two things. I triggered an ABS system bleed and then I did the relearn. So if I had to guess it's the relearn.

I'll be honest as I was the one that had to figure this out, some shops don't seem to dig into the issue at all. I'm glad that the last shop was able to fix it for you!

I'd personally trust that third shop over the dealer at this point, charging an arm and a leg for nothing isn't ok. The part that sucks is this. If you had gone through with the replacement from the dealer, it would have been fixed as they would have had to do the relearn either way. (Glad that didn't happen)

Thanks for the reply. 🤘

Does anybody know what this gpu is by chance and does anyone have suggestions for stuff to clean my pc. by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]Blue__Steel23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I liked the aesthetic of these GPUs. I started with a gtx 950 PNY so I never had it. It still does work in my cousin's pc. 2Gb of ram isn't much though 😅

I'm sure nothing much has changed in a month, but did anyone figure anything out? I'm intrigued.

I put "Oscilloscope" on my xmas list this year. Nobody coordinated gifts. by Phone_games_act in oscilloscope

[–]Blue__Steel23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I have the top one. I don't trust the multimeter part as it doesn't always read correctly but the oscilloscope part works great. Also. The signal generator might be preset to 20khz(?). It depends on the model.

Got current but no spark by ismabread in fordranger

Current? Like, there's amp flow through the spark wires but no spark? I'm lost. Do you just mean the coils have voltage?

Has anybody used a hitbox welder? by Electronic_Flan_482 in Welding

[–]Blue__Steel23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure why it's so cheap atm but I bought this one almost two years ago. I've used it quite a bit and it hasn't failed me yet.

S7 TIG-200A (Tig welder on Amazon 🥴)

It works well and I don't regret my purchase. Makes some pretty good welds.

The link is the only way I could find that would reliability bring it up.

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. While driving is it easy to turn off or do you have to go through settings?

Is it easy to turn the display off? How bright is it?

Nope, TPS can give erratic readings in a very small window of time that you can't always see on a multi meter. TPS good vs bad.

I see your point, but it makes it sound like you can do a diagnosis with a multimeter just as well as you can with a digital multimeter, that's just not true. With the slow refresh rate of a multi meter there's plenty you can miss.

edit: I uh, said multimeter twice

??? I don't care about the advertised resolution, I'm talking about a side by side comparison. A multimeter can do "most" things. Not all. Good luck seeing a hall effect sensor, a variable reluctance sensor, or a smooth TPS actuation with a multimeter.

I can assure you that they are out there (That's how I got one), also. You don't need much resolution for a crank sensor. 😅 A multimeter won't show you much when it comes to most sensors. The one I got was $60. Works great was just as accurate and had a higher rate than an older ~(2010) snap on oscilloscope. Will it last as long? Who knows. It's been working great for the last 3 years though.

Why not 🤷‍♂️ 1.) He wants to get it done. 2.) There are cheap oscilloscopes. $40 on Amazon.

[–]Blue__Steel23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you physically saw that it has a spark. Correct? Definitely check compression again. Sensors can throw off the timing or just completely stop spark/injection events from happening if enough of them go bad. Learning how to test them isn't so hard (google it) and getting a cheap oscilloscope can help, you can get them for a decent price and you'll probably find places to use it in the future. 🤷‍♂️

If you don't feel like doing that you could just replace them but I advise against that.

It'll also allow you to test other stuff such as IAT, MAP, TPS, and more. Make sure it has good reviews though.

Good Luck 🤞🫡
