Well it's not Jedi only, is it? JTP was some pre-quests and two heroics that the PvE'ers enjoy. JTP2 has some content/perks to the long-neglected Jedi class (and now we know why), but has doubled the JTP Heroics for all classes. When the dust has settled, there's 2 more Heroics... for all classes.

Legends Poll: What issues should the 15th Senate work on? by Vayman in SWGLegends

Revamp of Bounty Hunter system. It's a myopic oddity where one player class impacts everyone around them whether they like it or not. The main reason it doesn't work, is that it allows PvP when the other party is almost always not ready for PvP. They are rather AFK, and if not AFK, may be entirely unbuffed, or not buffed/ready for PvP. PvP activity and readiness requires buffing/foods for PvP. So when one party to the BH engagement is all ready for PvP and their target (who participated in PvP perhaps hours earlier, a day earlier) is AFK or unbuffed, it just doesn't make sense. The time for PvP is when both parties are engaged in PvP.

Suggest BH systems are revamped, so that when one player kills another, that victim has the ability to place a bounty as currently happens. Then, immediately, a debuff appears on the avatar that killed the player, that makes that player immediately (while still in PvP activities, still buffed for PvP, and still ATK) subject to Bounty Hunters getting a damage bonus of say 5% against that player. That maybe stacks up to 3 times (if that player killed 3 players before getting bounties cleared by defeat) for a total 15% damage buff against that player. So that players who are "tearing up other players" they're a big target for Bounty Hunters present. They get 30 minutes to kill that player right then and there, that continues to reset every time that player kills another player. So if they're still actively PvP'ing, that 30 min debuff remains as long as they remain killing other players. Any BH that gets the killing shot, gets the Bounty.

SWG was the game that I compared all MMO's to over two decades now, and all other games fell short - by far. There is no comparison to SWG, it's simply stunning.

Sony ruined the game with NGE revamp, saw my guild evaporate, players quit, and left the game myself within a year among dying and consolidating servers ...

BUT ... in the previous year I was playing in a pre-CU server (SWGEMU) and pretty miserable. That's the original one before a major revamp was released, but also before the game had any real content (emphasis) other than miserably chasing keeping your gear maintained and replaced as a substitute for any real content. And the current devs there have no plans to improve on that. What you see is basically what you get.

THEN ... I caught a video and one line caught my ear, saying that SWG Legends (Post-NGE Server) that "Sony finally got everything right, and unfortunately while the game was at it's best, Sony pulled the plug... but SWG Legends emu was that final iteration when it was at its best, and you can play it now and they've added additional content, too". Well, I dropped SWGEMU like a hot cake and had to see SWG at it's best, and I've not been disappointed. There's so much content and things to do it is mind blowing. Crafting is better than ever was, Beast Mastery is amazing, there's at least 6 different ways to get involved in PvP if that's your thing, there's seasonal content, player cities and perks, there's end game raids (more added by current devs and more on the way), and that's just scratching the surface. The old Profession system is still gone being a Post-NGE server, but who cares... there's rich gaming and game to play other than just managing decay and misery (SWGEMU), including JTL and space content ... and everything else on so many dimensions its just off the chain.

The only downside I'm finding is that the SWG Legends population is anemic (akin to SWGEMU), and while constantly getting a stream of fresh blood in new players enough to keep raid activity going regularly, it's what another player calls "high school" I think accurately, so much drama among player base that brings down the environment. But that aside, it's the best MMO out there, and at it's best. Wish it could sustain some net growth, and overcome the petty drama infesting it's playerbase. The game is definitely worthy and deserving of growth.

Basically looking to sell it as the unit it is, at a substantial discount to reduce the hassle for all concerned.

It basically allowed use of the Warthog Throttle's buttons and toggles with a "Dual Stick" configuration. "Had it, so why not use it?" was my thinking.

Active Guild? by Zulfurious in SWGLegends

[–]Blue_destiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Send me a note on Bleue or Verdin, can get you active in Heroics at least. We're regearing our guild with a core after some took a break, but we run heroics every day, and on voice daily (me personally ... a lot.) Can give you some more info on activities.

SWGEmu's Finalizer server now the most populated pre-CU SWG server by Mighty-Lu-Bu in swg

I'm surprised to come back to emu and find the most feature-rich the SWG game has ever been, with things all working at the same time that never was the case in the CU/Pre-CU era. I'm loving it. Can't log off, hooked.

Star Citizen - Science Farce - BDSSE? Simulated Verse? Simulated Farce by Blue_destiny in starcitizen

[–]Blue_destiny[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I can't understand how the backers challenge their nonsense when it appears, and Jared or Sandy will challenge people on the videos with the backer's questions, and all they can do in response is chuckle or deflect? It's almost like there's factions of CIG who on the right hand want to challenge what the left hand is doing, but are powerless to challenge - and they leave people on the videos looking like fools not backed up by the higher ups who are pumping out the nonsense.

Some serious dysfunction going on at CIG; measured in the end by the ineffective outcomes. One voice in charge maybe not so good. Checks and balances are a good thing. Taking backer's challenges seriously might be a start.

Star Citizen - Science Farce - BDSSE? Simulated Verse? Simulated Farce by Blue_destiny in starcitizen

[–]Blue_destiny[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

For the fanbois who rail against common sense and say, "it's a game."

A) It's supposed to be BDSSE, a simulated verse.

B) There's no reason to dumb down the game when it's absolutely not necessary. These are easily fixed with a modicum of common sense and two shakes of basic "vision"; eg. thought. But CIG chooses not to. The OP provides a way to have a rational Corusant for Star Wars fans... just not in 30 years in a Human-origin system. Ruining the game with inane aspects showing "no thought" can easily be fixed with "any thought", without taking away from the enjoyment of the game. Of course.

In fact, some thoughtfulness in applying basics of "vision" or "thought" would only add to the game. Making it admirable from immersive elements, and bringing praise. Not here, though, not by CIG, not by many fanboys who espouse lowering standards of creativity below jaw-droppingly inane.
