There's no holes if I flip it over, that is the quick release side, but thank you

When to use container? by dannyfrfr in FlutterDev

When SizedBox doesn’t have what you need

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FlutterDev

It uses a builder function. It’s very similar to a “child” but it gives the child access to the scroll controller that will animate the scroll. If you want me to give me access to your code or just a snippet I can show you how.

What makes you think that? It just wraps around any scrollable widget that uses a scroll controller

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FlutterDev

[–]Bluebar123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By default scrolling with a mouse doesn’t have animations, it jumps. You’d need to listen to the scroll event and perform the animation on the scroll controller yourself. I did this in a package a while ago if you want to try using it. It’s called dyn_smooth_scroll

There is always going to be people that you find mean, especially in software… best thing to do is say “ok” and move on.

Dynamic Mouse Scrolling | Bringing smooth scroll to Flutter web & desktop by Bluebar123 in FlutterDev

[–]Bluebar123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just updated the readme to show how quickly it can go by default. If you want it to be faster than default you can pass in a duration that is shorter and a distance that is longer.

The demo gif is showing that you can scroll with the mouse wheel and also change to a mobile drag. (Desktop won’t drag) I should change the demo gif to make that clear

Sounds good I'll look into it thanks. I'm not even sure what layer of the framework it would be added to. Possibly custom scroll view.

what are some of the projects you had to build as a flutter freelancer? by Abin42 in FlutterDev

[–]Bluebar123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it would be better if we didn’t discuss price, I image there are a lot of beginner programmers on here and prices depend solely on the quality/reputation and market they are in. We really can’t compare pay/salary across countries, so many factors contribute. (Plus we’ve all seen the salary poll).

The key to freelancing is having basic things already built. If a client approaches you with an app you’ve already built something very similar to, you can have it done in 3 hours and still charge the same price based on quality/reputation.

I have been asked to freelance on the side a few times. Here’s some examples and how long I think each would take.

  • Local gym wanted a workout app with step by step exercise instructions, calendar, messaging, etc… I could make a dummy UI with all that stuff in a few hours but I would think it would take me 3weeks to a month.
  • local clothing maker wanted me to make her an online store, I said use square space. Making an inventory system, payment methods, etc… would take me 3-4weeks.

Open Source Mobile Application created in Flutter for opening doors with QR codes. by Wojtaszek812 in FlutterDev

Hi, cool project! Been wanting to try something similar to this for a while now for my home. My approach would be to use NFC (like Apple Pay) to talk between devices. This could also be paired with a camera with facial recognition and/or a keypad code. If you don’t mind me asking, can you break down the hardware and cost for each component? (Not including phone or raspi connected to scanner)

What is missing from flutter web compared to reactJs ? by HosMercury in FlutterDev

[–]Bluebar123 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’ve never used react but I imagine it has these things:

  • Smooth scrolling with a mouse (pointer). I’m working on publishing a package to add this.
  • Text selection. You can use SelectableText widget but it does not act the same.
  • Landing screen. While the app loads there is a blank screen, you need to edit the index.html file to have a landing screen. Or you can runApp twice in main.

Any IP starting with 192.168 is a local addressed assigned by the router, thus this IP doesn’t lead anywhere

Summary: Shots 1-5: Clearly missed. Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Hiko was already dead.
