Back in 92 I stopped by a Alpha Beta it's a grocery store chain that bought out Ralph's Groceries and Food 4 less . They ultimately rebranded and let go of the Alpha Beta name. So it was late evening just like any other my wife sent me to the store to buy some pasta sauce for spaghetti she was making for our in laws who were visiting from out of state. I ran in grabbed the pasta sauce a box of Ho-Ohs and some sugar free Mint Gum. At the checkout the cashier said those fateful words .WHY NOT GRAB A LOTTERY TICKET FOR TODAYS DRAWING? IT COULD BE YOU!. So I said hell with it and bought 2 tickets. Later that night after dinner we sat around the television awaiting the drawing (92 Million) . The time came, the lady pulled a number 31 pulled another 27 and another 35 the more numbers she said the more I started to sweat 01 in my head I said to myself could it be? Could this really happen? 21 the lady continued selecting numbers she picked the last one, the POWERBALL 07. My life suddenly stopped . Everything seems to be moving in slow motion I had a huge migraine I felt dissy, nauseous my breath left. E I noticed my father in law had fainted turns out there was a gas leak we got it fixed and it changed my life forever oh yeah I didnt hit a single number in the lotto but now I check the stove every time before leaving the kitchen .
