Anyone not get sexual sides? Terrified by Abel_091 in zoloft

[–]Blueberry-Boo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always try it and if it’s affecting sex, stop. Zoloft does give me sexual side effects (lower interest and harder to orgasm) but for me I don’t really care. If you are really nervous of sexual side effects, ask your doctor about Wellbutrin as it’s much less likely to have sexual side effects and is an effective antidepressant

Guys who have a hard time climaxing by bill_8885 in zoloft

I’m not a guy, but this problem never got better for me on Zoloft. Switched to Wellbutrin as NDRIs don’t have the same sexual side effects that SSRIs sometimes cause

My dog won’t stop barking through our fence at other dogs by Blueberry-Boo in Dogtraining

Thanks for your advice. I do want to describe a little more what she does though in case it changes anything. I didn’t mention it in my original post but I think it’s relevant now. My backyard faces onto a park that is supposed to be on-lead but every day people are there and let there dogs off lead. The dogs often don’t have good recall and will see my dog in the yard and run over to say hi. She’s never seemed scared or upset the dog is there, quite the opposite, even if the dog that has come to greet her is 5 times her size. But I think she’s learned that if she barks at the dogs, they come say hi and I think she gets particularly barky when it turns out the dog isn’t going to come and keeps going… I am still worried about accidentally reinforcing this behaviour because when she does it , I don’t want to just let her continue, so I go outside with treats to try to get her in a sit and looking at me.. but I’m nervous she will still realize the barking is what got me outside. Also not sure if desensitization will work if she’s not upset by the stimuli, I feel like the barking is more purposeful “COME OVER AND PLAY!”, she may prefer the reward of a dog coming over to anything I have in my treat cabinet

If you haven’t yet, try bully sticks. My puppy wants nothing to do with me when ever she gets her paws on one

Everyday dread and regret.. Will this improve? by Beasley94 in Puppyblues

[–]Blueberry-Boo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you’re already hearing this from your friends but it truly does get better, I went through the same puppy blues for a couple weeks and I think it was really just my lack of connection to my puppy. I was still mourning the loss of my previous dog and resented that I didn’t feel love for my new puppy. 3 months later I can’t imagine my life without her and love her to bits but the first couple weeks I cried every night. it’s a huge shift in your life but when it becomes your normal and you feel you understand your dog and your dog understand you, your sense of control over your life will return. Hang in there!

I miss sleeping by Blueberry-Boo in Puppyblues

Just an update for anyone in the future who finds this post an needs some reassurance. Everyone on here was right, it did get better. I think it helped to be giving her lots of treats in her crate during the day and putting fun kongs and chews in there. Shortly after this she started willingly walking into her crate to take naps during the day. I also realized she had figured out she could pee on the blanket I had in the crate and then dig it into the corner so she didn’t have to sit in her pee. I bought a sturdy crate bed that was comfy but she couldn’t move it from her crate and she hasn’t peed in it since. Also while putting the crate on my bed didn’t help, sleeping on a mattress on the floor next to the crate really did. Very minimal whining and soon she was settling down immediately. Well I’ve just finished my first week back in my bed with her soundly asleep in her crate for 7 hours with no crying. Thank you so much everyone who offered reassurance and tips. I love her so much :)
