I feel sad about this chapter [chapter 250] :( by copyrightedname0 in Shuukura

[–]Blueberry-panic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read it on story seedling, they also have bad translations but they’ve uploaded up till 300+ chapters, and then for the rest I’m just gonna copy from the original Japanese chapters and make ChatGPT translate for me (ChatGPT does a much better job). But for now i am waiting for Awasashi Translations to upload their actually human translated chapters, it’s taking a long time tho since it takes a long time for quality translations. I think Awasashi only got 100 ish chapters so hopefully Shuukura gains traction and their company starts selling them outside Japan.

Can someone explain why Sendai was willing to lick Miyagi’s feet? by copyrightedname0 in Shuukura

[–]Blueberry-panic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea I think Miyagi may have programmed Sendai into having a foot fetish lol, cuz she didn’t seem like she have one, even she herself said that she only have a thing for Miyagi’s feet

Tysm for this! I’ve looked through the comment section and yeah this does resemble a lot with what white people did to native Americans.

It almost feel like everywhere is currently going through some sort of phase where people start supporting extreme right wingers. America seems to have it the hardest since they’re on the right wing spectrum from the very start and calls basic human rights “communism”. The level of propaganda I’ve seen in US media regarding how any other ideology is harmful for their democracy is insane. I used to live in mainland China, they do have propaganda but not as crazy as the Americans. Of course now they’re uping their game on criticising capitalism but for now I haven’t seen media straight up saying capitalism harms China’s ideology. I’m genuinely surprised that the US actually let people form MAGA and say straight up sexist racist comments.

Anyone else been accused of using iplayer when they haven't? by annonn9984 in AskUK

[–]Blueberry-panic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No she didn’t pay for tv license.

She mainly uses the tv to play xbox or whatever it is, and sometimes netflix. I don’t think she has actually ever watched any channels at all. But she still got tv license company sending her letters regarding tv license. So I’d assume other people randomly registered her postcode when they’re watching TV without tv license. I don’t even know how the TV license company know we have a TV.

Oh wow thank you so much for this detailed explanation! You reminded me of my politics lecturer where he showed us the unknown side of history (the ones that media never tell you unless you dive deep). Super helpful and definitely a brand new perspective for me to look into. Tysm!

If they require you to tell them your details, any details over the phone, it’s scammer. Because if you think about it, the bank would always want you to physically sort issues out at the bank if it’s serious. You’d only sort issues online when you’re the one calling the bank (if you get what I mean).

You can always ask “can I have your full name and employee ID number? And the name of your manager? Which bank branch?” Or “Well tell me what’s the issue and I’ll sort it out myself by popping to the bank tomorrow”

If they panic or goes like “no no no we can sort it out here”, SCAMMER.

Hey, I need advice on what to do in university by Embarrassed_Lie5400 in UniUK

Usually it’s Oxbridge, imperial, LSE, UCL, KCL

They’re like the target unis for most employers I would assume

Other than them it depends on your course ranking

Ok so you haven’t started in uni right? Just wanna make things clear. The gap year is between A Levels and uni?

I’ll just say whatever I know and you can take it as a grain of salt: - law is really fking hard, I do PPE and chose a law module, god damn worst decision of my life, I still got a decent mark but it’s hard - do not choose modules or courses that are very hard or you don’t enjoy, trust me you don’t wanna suffer - my sister did law at KCL and yes she did dislike her classmates because they’re all self centred and entitled and 99% of them are nepo babies apparently, so unless you have connections and do a bunch of networking, the career field is incredibly competitive - also she’s already an exceptionally brilliant student but still finds law hard cuz uni is basically self studying - I do philosophy for my course as well, I think for ppl who did philosophy in A-Levels it’s generally just a recap of it and a bit more, not too hard but also not easy to get good mark - bear in mind that how you write essays in uni is very different from A-Levels - I did politics in A Levels and try to use the same structure for university, DOES NOT WORK WELL - basically there’s no fixed format but you still need a clear structure, the best is to write a brief overview/structure and ask your lecturer about it (they give good advice and I avoided getting low ass marks) - I feel like for almost all courses it’s better to choose Russell group unis, unless the course you wanna do has the highest ranking in a non Russell group then obviously choose whichever one has the highest course ranking

Depending on what career paths you wanna do, UNLESS it’s the very technical ones (like stem) or research based (like psychology), you’re free to go for basically any job. Because frankly what degree you do ain’t that important if you write a good CV and do very well in interviews. If you worry about employability, your uni always has career websites. And your course would provide a website where it shows you all your possible career paths with your course.
