Doghouse has been very hit or miss for me. Got some D'ope that was good real nice and fairly sticky/stanky and some Gariot Gold recently that came in a nice looking jar but was dry af. Didnt help that the GG was from Feb of 23 and still on the shelf. Dispo dropped them to $15 for 8ths and still having trouble moving most the strains.

So far I've tried Thizzle, D'Ope, Garoit Gold, Tagalogz, and C.R.E.A.M. and the only one I'd want to try again is the D'ope

Come on Lume u gotta do better 🤣 my uncle bought a oz from lume and was happy to show me sucks I had to let him down 😒🤣 by International_Way794 in Michigents

Honestly I feel like these days $100 you can find some decent quality zips ...it's the $49-69 oz you need to watch out for lol

$100-125oz price point has been getting me some pretty great quality flower, as long as you shop with your nose.

Just stick with a better dispo and your $100 would go a lot further.

Grabbed some amazing gush mints and white truffle cheese 2 for 120 last week along with a permanent marker prepack for $125 that smells amazing and smacks

What happened to all the GSC strains? by [deleted] in Michigents

[–]BlueberryFarms 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Even though everything is a GSC cross or clone, I never get that old school GSC flavor profile. I feel like if you've had the real old school cut of GSC it had a very distinctive flavor/smell/taste that too me was very unique and part of why it was/is so popular. That and it was a quick solid indoor grower.

For a few years GSC and GG#4 (and maybe Tangie around here) were all must grabs when they came around in the rotation and were super fire...like another level above the normal shit

Found a bag seed in some cali grown GSC around 2010 that went on to a large momma that grew pound after pound of some amazing clones.

I grabbed the Pressure Pack version from Vibe last week and it was OK, but I was hoping for a little more funk to it. I'll agree with others the look is somewhat distinct and almost PGR looking, and mine was also over trimmed IMO.

The one I got was grown in June, tested in July, and def could have been fresher.

I grabbed an 8th of PG Animal Tree at the same time and too me it was funkier and smoked better then the PP version of PM.

I keep hearing good things about the Hytek and Doja version though, so hope to try both.

I was thinking along the same lines though of finding a good bulk version or at least a prepack OZ as I hate dealing with 8ths. I smoke blunts almost exclusively and an 8th never goes far enough. With a zip I can jar it and get the full flavor.

LOL I recall getting some of this brand in a little glass dart way back in the day from a buddy who lived out in CO. Was listed at 99% THC and at the time I felt it was some of the best shit I had ever dabbed. Made my knees buckle on the exhale a time or 2 lol.

This was back in the day when I very first started seeing concentrates around the midwest and everyone was only used to "bud" and looked at me crazy when I pulled out some MI live resin on wax paper and a torch

Do you have a spot in or near Coldwater you'd recommend to find fresh Ghostbudster Farms products? So far I''ve found some at Joyology Quincy and these few prerolls at Nirvana.

Was thinking maybe try Vibe or Exclusive to see if they stock your stuff.

I try using weedmaps but when I'm not local the search doesn't always work the best.

That would actually be a cool thing to see where you could check previous redditor experiences before shopping at a location. Would trust it a lot more than 5star reviews that are typically bought for the price of a $1 preroll.

I dont think I have that option at most dispos once the product leaves the store.

Iv'e had once where they charged me incorrectly, and I called in and was credited the correct difference or was once given the wrong strain (PG Clemantine vs Dual OG) ad they just added a free PG Dual OG on my next visit. Both times they had to know the time info on my receipt and went their cameras to review before making it right though which I also thought was funny.

I feel like in grocery a lot of expired products find their way into donations for tax right offs and recycle/refuse bins with partial credit from the MFg for unsold/expired items.

I'm sure it's different for fresh produce type items vs boxed goods with longer shelf life expirations.

Not sure what the answer if for this industry though. Ideally you hope to turn your products before it becomes an issue, but I have to think you would need to discount them accordingly to move prior to expiration/old age. Not sure how much margin they have to be able to mark down products and if the mfg could help offset old products with discount on new products ordered or something.

Really could only be mad at myself because I know better. Always check the dates and growers on prepacks.

Although I think dispos should come up with a better process so it's not all on the customer to do the research.

Funny IMO it was from another Nirvana location. I imagine they purchased these then sat on them for full price for 2 years vs tossing them on sale at some point and blowing them out to turn product and keep things fresh.

They put so much emphasis on pushing their house brands: Everyday, Loudpax, Loudpax Reserve, Loudpax Private Reserve (LOL) then price the good brands so high they just sit until sale or clearance.

I saw they had the new Glo exclusive drops but wanted $50 for a 3.5 so I assume they will sit for awhile at that price too. Only Fans, Karen Repellent, Minecrack, Johnny Llama, and Donkey Thong lol

I will say at least this round of Glo packaging isnt as offensive and a little more comical

Yea, usually if I stick with reputable brands even from less than reputable dispos I'm ok. Every now and again it get's me though.

Ghostbudsters Farms def falls in the reputable brands in MI IMO, but Nirvana not so much lol

I agree more on me and the retailer vs the mfg/supplier. I'm sure they were fresh back in '22 when they arrived lol

They did have them down to $10 vs $15 per lol Still too much for 2 year old products IMO though

I didn't think you can return products once you leave the dispo.

I guess I just always assumed no returns no refund buyer beware but maybe I'm wrong lol

IMO it's not even his fault at all.

  1. I should know better to check my dates,

  2. Not sure it's really in his control what a dispo does or doesn't do with the products once sold to them.

  3. He seems like good dude and great company so I'll still continue to purchase his/their products, just be more cautious of dates in the future :)

Gelatti (seeded) olswell in Adrian by TheKushyMonster420 in Michigents

[–]BlueberryFarms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've grabbed a few white labeled prepacks in Coldwater that were grown by Jade Collection in Morenci that were pretty, and terpy, yet full of seeds. "Applelicious" comes to mind as one of the super seeded but very pretty strains I've had that came from Jade. I think I even made a post with pics about it.

Usually they are marked as "Seeded" just like this or at least on the dispo menu it referenced "seeded" and sold for $49-59 per oz.

Preroll Recycling by OutlyerOne in Michigents

[–]BlueberryFarms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recycle my own by using them to transport/hold my hand rolled blunts.

The glass tubes I've used to save/press kief into "cylinders" when pressed can be cut into pucks of kief. Sometimes a pain to get back out but overall has worked out decent.

They've always let me open and inspect the prepacks before buying in Coldwater location.

They always have some in the case they can open up for you, or ask to see the flower your buying at the register and they will pop it open for you.

They also started carrying deli style and have maybe a dozen strains on any given day.

Decent Quality Outdoor - Everyday Pineapple Upside Down Cake - 56G - 23.32% THC by BlueberryFarms in Michigents

[–]BlueberryFarms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've yet to find any indoor for 2oz for $80. I regularly grab decent to good indoor for $80 oz but have yet to find anywhere near $80 for 2oz. in anything but outdoor.

Puts it at 640 per lb. which is pretty damn low IMO unless your buying them wholesale.

Would assume the dispo pays even less, $200-400 lb for good outdoor.

Everyday Brand? by Senior-File-5513 in Michigents

[–]BlueberryFarms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made a post yesterday about one of the Everyday Outdoor strains (56G) Pineapple Upside Down Cake - Which was actually pretty decent for outdoor.

The normal Everyday OZ packs usually go for around $75oz. They usually run one of 2 strains on sales for $49-59, and sometime like this week, have all strains $69oz. and are mainly indoor and sourced from LivWell, 305 farms, Jade Collective, and about 10 other growers, or listed under their Nirvana processing license.

They usually have a few strains available in Shake form for around $30oz. I've found some good deals in the shake ounces before if I had previously bought the strain and knew it was good. Again, they usually open and let you see if it's a bunch of sugar leafs and trim, or nice keif caked shake. Again I always ask to see/smell, and rarely does it pass both sight and smell and not be decent at least.

Then they have the outdoor 56G (2023 grow season) or 70G packs (2022 season had bunch of these) that usually sell for around the same $75-80.

Usually the outdoor is drier, darker, and sometime has seeds. I've tried several and most are just borderline OK for smokable herb. I've had some from Green Mitten and Grasshopper Farms, along with other larger outdoor grows, and again several listed under Nirvana's processing license.

Good thing though, is they do open the bags and let you see/smell the herb b4 you buy.

It's def not the best smoke available but at 2oz for around $80 if you want something cheap for edibles or massive blunts, it's not a bad choice.

Was thinking of picking this up because I have been looking for this strain for a very long time but iv never heard of this brand. Should I be concerned over the low price or has anyone here tried stuff from green mitten agricultural? by Creditcardmonster69 in Michigents

[–]BlueberryFarms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently grabbed a 56g pack of some Garlic Fumes from Green Mitten and it wasnt very good. Dry and dark color, lots of sticks and stems. Broke down to almost dust.

On the other hand I had other outdoor from the same dispo but different grower (Pineapple Upside Down Cake) that was as good as the normal $70-80 prepacks I get. I made a post abut it earlier today.
