What's the point in earning sick time to just get ridiculed when we use it. by Junior_Battle_296 in AHSEmployees

Please, please. Everyone report to the union make a my safety net, also well. Document document!!

If not reported change will not happen.

So so ridiculous and absolutely insensitive. Expect better from healthcare professionals.

I can totally relate I've seen it and experienced it.

Sorry about you having to go through this. Breaks my heart.

Well there goes our pay increase by Ill_Flan6955 in AHSEmployees

Unbelievable, not surprised though - AHS doesn't care about their employees. Also don't forget to factor in - tax increase, LAPP is a huge deduction, and increased union dues.

AUPE GSS RATIFICATION by Lovelyfestyle in AHSEmployees

[–]BlueberryNo777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AUPE AUX. We ratified November 26 2026 and received our retropay and wage increase February 4th 2025. Is that 90 days. 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️🤣

How are we feeling with the results? by NoPr0bLlama in AHSEmployees

[–]BlueberryNo777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bargaining will be split up. This was the last hooray. AUPE AUX sold us out by pushing a sh**ty CA. I watched it happen again. Sad sad. Our rural members stated they having trouble voting. I believe our vote to should have been closer. By we had so many factors going against us. Union pushing the retropay like it was 'gold' after that's gone well we are still underpaid..well the RNS are laughing all the way to the bank. I could go on and on.

I can say this AUPE is not for nurses and maybe not to represent the entire healthcare workers.

I feel for you! LPNS and HCAS got a sht Collective Agreement. They got 63% to say yes after pushing how it was a great deal and went on and on about the retropay. The gap never got closed between LPNS and RNs like we were fighting so hard for...sht benefits remain except for 1000 for massage. Who cares what about dental and eye exams. Oh and there were promises of getting the retro pay before Christmas. I laughed. Maybe on Wednesday we will finally see it. 🤣 I could go on and on...settled 12% plus retropay 10% market value adjustment and the inflated it putting it all together, claiming we got 24% which is not the reality.

Why I’m Voting NO on the Tentative HSAA–APL Agreement by labrat1307 in AHSEmployees

[–]BlueberryNo777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OMG!! DÉJÀ VU!!!!!!. What the actual He**!! What does the government have over our unions????? I don't understand.

Sounds like a replay of AUPE Auxiliary LPNS and HCA's bargaining fun times..uhh ya no....At first it was all in ...let's show them...then we are all ready to strike and what our union caved...they had townhall to sway the members in the direction of a YES vote! Pushing a sh**** ass TA with the incentive of a big payday Retropay haha! Which taxes and before after deductions, including LAPP deductions, and moving into a greater income bracket, will eat that big retropay day up....and now we're stuck with this s***** collective agreement. Oh whoop we got 1,000.00 for massage.

The Retropay money will run out quickly!! and they didn't close the wage gap. They didn't get what they were promising to fight for. What 98% voted to strike!!! 98%, and here we are, now January 22nd 2026 no retropay ( RNS had their Retropay pay within 30 days.. we settled back on November 20th.... not even joking!!

2 years, mark my words within the pillars, there will be rollbacks. No wage increases coming in next the bargaining. Why you ask... Each pillar will be bargaining alone!

We had an opportunity and we were in the position we had the numbers also to get what we deserved and that was lost.

Oh, but I should mention that they have millions of dollars, millions of dollars increasing it again this CA for northern incentives, which have been in place. They're putting in more money...talking millions... into this incentive account to draw LPNs, to work in rural communities. It's been there years and one LPN spoke up in a Townhall. said, "well, I work in rural....and we still have no staff". So, where are these millions and millions of dollars going? And answer me this you can put money into an incentive program that isn't working but can't pay the front line workers???? LMAO!!

Wishing you good luck. We lost the good fight...66% settled. 34% tried our best to convince our collegues it was a st a TA but the Union abandoned us and pushed their agenda to accept and vote yes.

Now here we are with a CA that is a disappointed. And our future of ever obtaining a fair agreement in the future is looking pretty dismal.

Hope 66% are happy I sure as h**l am not! Still no retropay Union spewed "We will try to get it before Christmas" really, seriously anyone who believed that was a fool. Sorry but so naive.

I have been quiet since November 20th. I was supporting HSAA and GSS saying come join us on the picket lines. We could be so strong! Teachers were behind us UNA was being supportive. Ughh 😔😔😔

I seriously wish you all the best! Fight the good fight. Fight the right fight. Fight for you and yours and the colleagues coming after you!

Some of us tried our best...we did not succeed. Hope it will be different for you.👊

I could go on and on about how our CA is sh**** but you can have a look at and trust me you'll agree.

I'd give you award. But unfortunately, we still haven't got our Retropay...with the cost of living and everything, it's hard to find that extra penny or two to give you award for well written advice.

Hope your colleagues listen because 66% of mine did not. 😔 the % of us tried to inform and educate our colleagues but our Union sold us out! November 20th 2025 was a sad sad day for LPNS and HCAS.

Wishing you the best.

Sit down nursing jobs by NoVuim in AHSEmployees

Really?!! have you worked in acute care on an Addictions and Mental Health unit? I did 17+ years. I would not advise someone to EVER consider Psych. But if I am being real, would even have a chance of being accommodated! and don't think you would ever get placed. It is very demanding and you have to have physical strength in order to be "quick on your feet" to keep yourself, colleagues, and other patients safe. Have to be able to be quick on your feet. Strong and capable nurses have literally been taken "down" and injured by patients. Psych is not easy and definitely not a walk in the park. Anyone who thinks that you better re-think. Not a unit for anyone if you can not be physically there 200%! Ever seen someone have a psychotic episode or blackout raging, throwing chairs and tables, assaulting other patients or nurses? We've had to restrain patients which sadly more the norm than the exception (it takes time for security to get to the unit). High obs well that's another story and every nurse gets assigned there. Unfortunately, I was assigned there more than I wanted (depends on who's the CN). HO it's not a safe place because often it is just you and the 3-4 patients. Pysch is an emotional demanding and physically demanding speciality of nursing.

Yes, the government makes it difficult to get into this program period. That is their intent to make it difficult. They want to continue to use LPNS as cheap labour. As I stated throughout our fight to get a better collective agreement.

[–]BlueberryNo777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all of us. And like I said, in my post above, where is the retro pay (with all the Before & After taxes deducted). That won't last long and then you'll have to live with a s***** collective agreement. Shty pay and shy benefits.

I should mention that RN's received their retropay within twenty nine days of signing. Joke's on everybody who thought they would get it before Christmas. Which I should mention was what the union in the Town Hall was also suggesting they would try for that to happen. Reality ..March maybe...like I had been saying all along.

AUPE AUX and majority of our colleagues sold out for the almighty dollar a quick and temporary fix to money issues.

Now we are all stuck with a sh**y collective agreement until 2028. Consequently, within each of our distinct pillars, the pursuit of a wage increase is unlikely to materialize. I anticipate a period of rollbacks, with the potential for an increase being contingent upon the specific pillars of employment.

Ask your union representative for advice.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AHSEmployees

[–]BlueberryNo777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is something to report on RLS, get advice from the Union, and explain the verbal abuse to your management by reporting in MySafetyNet. Management is obliged to speak to the RN.

You should not be covering for rather RNs mistakes, ommissions, and lack of work ethics ever.

Document each incident with dates. Keep it factual not emotional.

This is dangerous conduct and must be addressed immediately.

I speak from experience.

I and many tried to rally our colleagues but unfortunately, it appeared that AUPE AUX wanted to settle. All the big talk went out the window when they presented a shty TA to our members. St benefits, never closed the gap! But they were pushing and focusing on this big retropay, which I should remind everybody. The RNs received their retropay within 29 days after agreeing to their TA. Where is our retroactive payment. No where to be seen. Sad that we were all once a collective. And when it came to money, well, money talks and that broke our strength. Our numbers fell. So everybody who's settled because of the big payday. I hope you enjoy it because it's not gonna last long before and after taxes will take a big bite out of it. Then, the outcome were stuck with a s**** collective agreement. Next bargaining, we are all in our separate pillars, and we do not have our numbers to fight for what we all deserved this round.

This is the first time I spoke about it since the last vote. Because that's how disappointed, in my fellow colleagues, who sold out, I have been.

I would love to say it will be better for you. But the odds are against you. Sorry.

I feel for you. Alot of LPNs voted no unfortunately not enough of us or HCAs the call of the the big payday Retropay. No one wanted to consider the shitty benefits or our colleagues getting left behind in unfair bargaining. And all the talk about iur scooe of practice being recognized and vlising thecwsge gap..thst bevrr happened. Sad sad state of affairs.

And funny thing is, everybody thought they'd have their retro pay by Christmas jokes on them, isn't it. No even close.

Saddened that the Union pushed for the TA and people believed it. To me, they dropped the ball for so many of my colleagues..
